Jason, The reason that fruit trees are grafted has to do with fruit production. More often that not, fruit trees do not 'come true' from seed, meaning that due to the inherent variability of seedlings they will not necessarily produce the same quality of fruit that you might expect. This is often not the primary consideration when contemplating bonsai. Which is not to say that some bonsai are not grafted, they sometimes are, but not with fruit production in mind. For instance; the seed from a Crab Apple will produce a Crab Apple. But if you want a named variety it must be grafted or produced by other asexual means, such as cuttings or layers. Norm

Well, i can't believe it but my prayers (and maybe the prayers of a few of you?) have been somewhat answered. Last night when i got home from work i just did my own thing, went for a run and went for some drinks with a girlfriend. I just left him alone, spoke only when spoken to and enjoyed some alone time. When it was bedtime i went upstairs & got ready for bed and he came up and layed down with me and wrapped me up in his arms and said "i love you so much baby, you are the best wife anyone could want". and of course i burst into tears, lol. we finally were able to talk and he said things that i didn't even know he was capable of! he decided (i didn't even suggest it!) that the computer will be turned off after 6pm on weeknights and all day on the weekends!!!!! i don't know what happened, but he finally snapped out of it I guess?!?! the Lord works in his own time, i just have to remember that.

Jessy, I have a hard time being shameless, but I'll give it a try. Here are a couple ideas: 1) Silicone egg poachers. I'm no good at poaching eggs all on their own, so I thought I'd give the little silcone thingys a try. 2) Whole wheat orzo. I fix orzo all the time but wanted to try a whole wheat version. I can't find it at any of the groceries or even health food stores in my area. 3) Chutney. We both love chutney as an accompaniement to all kinds of things, especially if it has a bit of heat to it. Sue - have you taken a close look at the label on the BBQ sauce? LOL - For those of you that cannot see it - it is a cow and a pig sitting in what looks like a claw foot tub of bbq sauce. There is a fire under the tub. The pig is reading "Joy of BBQ", the cow looks really ticked off and nearby there is a chicken with raised eyebrows. Very funny label! Teresa
