Thanks again all: Boa is doing much better. She is eating like a horse, but still doesn't want to be left alone. I can't believe the difference in her since I stopped the antibiotics. She demands food now, and her catmilk. Her and Bear got into their first fisticuffs in a long time when I was taking too long to get the food in the dish. She got a huge dish of whipped cream yesterday (her favorite) and didn't leave a smidgen in the bowl for Apache to finish. She is back on the tapazole now for the hyperthyroidism and doesn't even know it's in her food. I am breathing a sigh of relief. I know nothing can live forever, but I can hope. Think she will be with us for a while longer. Praise God for answering my prayers. Jenny

Yeah horned frogs are gluttons but they are not hard at all to feed. I am used to feeding dead rodents so the thought of an animal that eats frozen thawed mice is welcome compared to going to the store once or twice a week for live feeder insects. You will need to have the top enclosed to keep the humidity as high as possible. You could always apply plastic film to the inside of the lid to prevent evaporation of the moisture in the tank. If you don't have at least a partially enclosed lid you will go through a lot of distilled or RO water. In your case both the frogs and the plants you have need pure water so you are going to have to make sure you have a bottle of that available. Before you decide on your frog species do some research into the species that are available to choose from. Some are easier to feed because they will accept larger prey items and many are very secretive while others are more bold and will be much more visible. This is the breeder I was going to get my frogs from before I decided against it. Check out the article they have about breeding fruit flies and the species list for some ideas before deciding. I would take the plant out and take care of it outside the terrarium if it needed to be treated for fungus or insects. I don't know of any commercial fertilizer that is not harmful to frogs or geckos but I'm guessing a weak solution of fish emulsion probably would not hurt a frog or gecko. You could also try cactus fertilizer since I have some that says it's very weak in fertilizer. The type of animal depends on the size of the tank. A frog can do good in 10 gallons per frog while a gecko needs at least 20 gallons per gecko. Also, dart frogs like wide tanks while green tree frogs and geckos like taller tanks that are in an upright position. I do have a green tree treefrog in a 10 gallon wide tank but that's only because that was the only tank I had a spare of at the time. Also, I think geckos and other lizards have to have UV lights over their tank.
