Thanks to your pictures, amalgamation, I was on the lookout for Intrique and much to my surprise picked up a nice large gallon pot with three stalks on for clearout for $3.00. The plant was in amazing shape. It is now planted in my garden and I'm watering alot. Hopefully I'll see blooms soon and they'll be exactly like your pics.

I like the foliage of Bengal Tiger. It's really unique. I also bought a Tropicanna last week but it was very horrible. I saw them underneath a shelf. I've been watching it for 2 months, hehehe. I still bought it because it was so cheap, $3.99. I think I have 5-to-6 2 ft trunks per pot. This morning, I saw some new seedlings. I bought 2 pots. Next year, I know, it will look beautiful. When I saw it 2 months ago, it was very lovely. Not sure why 70% of people here in our area ignore them. I think, people think they're just accent plants since they die if not dug. :)

I found mine this summer and have kept them in a pot to see how fast they spread and grow. I am going to wait until next spring to plant. I want to find the best place in landscape to show them off. The tallest is about 3-3 1/2' at max. There are still more growing out in the drainage ditch that I might go dig up or they will be mowed down. Probably about 10-15 more out there. Andrew

Cannas are perennial in zones 8-10. They can be perennial in zone 7 if planted in well drained soil in a sunny spot with heavy mulch during winter. In lower zones, they can be grown as annuals and even houseplants if adequate lighting is supplied. Or they can be dug up and stored over winter.
