Wow--what a beautiful animal! And that's some rack!!

Who ever heard of a cat who likes the snow? I took these a few minutes ago: Pogo digging a hole, kinda like a dog. And then stretching out to relax in the frigid wet stuff.

I need to stack that wood by the fence, and cut the stuff that fell here. Hopefully I get done before it starts raining.

Wow, Nicole, your husband has outdone himself! I got this old rose 36 years ago from an elderly woman who remembered it from her childhood. I still haven't identified it, but I'm going to take some closeups and put the wizards on the Antique Roses forum to work.

Sake barrels at a Shinto shrine in Kobe, Japan. Good friends of mine got married there. I absolutely fell in love with the barrels and just recently, while looking for Japanese home decor on Craig's List, found an authentic barrel for $10. TEN DOLLARS! Others I've seen for sale ran between $300 and $800. I'll be posting a photo of mine some time in the future asking for help determining what I can spray or brush on it to preserve the rope and decorative cover. AWESOME pics today! Susan, your Pogo has a brother in Oklahoma. His name is Blacky (we are so NOT creative when naming our pets), and Blacky is a prime suspect right now. I think he is the one leaving "surprises" for me in the garage. *sigh* The cats were inside for less than an hour last night when I found a new "stinky surprise," and I think he is the one doing it. If so, he better learn to like snow...coz he isn't coming in the garage any more!

Our Isis looks just like your Pogo. I don't think I would find her stretched out in the snow like that. Fortunately, we don't often get snow here.

I too love Pogo in the snow! I had a farm cat when I was growing up that would dig and roll in the snow...Charlotte was her name...started out as Charlie until SURPRISE! LOL

Beautiful pictures today, everyone.
A snow picture and from New Mexico all in one.
This is Cookes Peak. The desert floor where the picture is from is at about 4,000 feet. The peak is 8,400. It's a volcanic plug with the cinder cone eroded away. The top is nearly flat. When I was a much younger man I hiked to the top. Some people refer to it as the Matterhorn of the Southwest.

Well, those two branches are still hanging in the tree. I could NOT budge them. I am wore out, not just from today, but from doing the same yesterday. Thank goodness I wasn't sore this morning, and I hope for the same for tomorrow.
