This should be the PNW mascot

Jean, I've seen those slugs in the PNW. At first I thought they were dog leavings as they were scattered over a grassy area. I was shocked to find out they were slugs. Amazingly big.

Here's my picture...Great Barrier Reef in Australia. I snorkeled, and Steve Irwin was killed there only a few months after we were there. If I had realized how dangerous it was, I might have stayed on the boat!!!

I posted this on another post about the shuttle launch last night but I just love this picture so much - I had to share here too. Taken by my eldest nephew.

Love all the pictures, so interesting...The one with the shuttle reminds me of a cruise my DH and I were on...We sailed out of Port Canaveral and had not gone far when we were told to go to the back of the ship...What a great surprise to see the shuttle take off and head right over the ship...Something we'll never forget....

The campus chapel....the first pic is right after the windstorm on Sept. 14...the second and third were taken yesterday...it was so dark and rainy yesterday but the leaves were so bright I chanced a pic or two...not so great (but the trees sure are pretty now)....

Jean the banana slug is the mascot for Cal State Santa Cruz. My son used to call them Nanny Bugs. Sooo cute
