Reborn Doll..

Some places on a ship are more crowded than others, but there's lots of room to move around and enjoy YOUR space.

Some ships are the equivalent to small cities, 2,500+ passengers. Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas has 2,700 staterooms and I don't think that includes staff which is often nearly the same number of people. I really try to avoid the larger ship. We noticed a big difference between Celebrity Mercury and the Celebrity Infinity. The Mercury has 1,880 staterooms and the Infinity, 2,046. The Infinity was decidedly more crowded feeling even though there was only a couple hundred more people onboard.

The best cruise I've taken to date was on the Marco Polo to Antarctica. It held 800 passengers but because of eco regulations in Antarctica, they could only take 400 passengers. So, so nice.

I buy them as blank kits which include the head, arms and legs. Then they are painted with heat set paints in the oven. Eyes are added if they are open eyed babies, or just eyelashes if they are sleeping. Next, the hair is applied with a needle and sealed on the inside. The limbs and head are weighted with glass beads for weight. And last, a soft body is weighted with glass beads and fiberfil.That's pretty much it in a nutshell. It takes me a few weeks to finish one. There are a lot of them on eBay if you want to look. Just type in Reborn doll or Reborn baby in the search engine. There's all kinds...from really well done to not so well done. lol
Here is a picture of one of the heads without paint..they're just plain one color and don't come 'alive' until they are painted.

dianamo, thank you so much for the compliments! You're babies are so real looking, they are almost creepy! LoL I work in daycare, and oh boy, I get enough of little ones to last me, but those dolls would have held quite an appeal to me in years gone by. They are absolutely beautiful.
