Don't know what kind of bug this is but it fits today's theme.

Stacey, a JB is a Japanese beetle (the metallic looking bug in the pic). They appear in summer in great numbers to destroy flowers. They are especially destructive to roses and all plants in the rose family and many other plants. Anyone who grows and loves flowers, hates JBs.

When I as a kid, I remember visiting relatives in Indiana and there was a very cool local contest. The person who caught the most Japanese Beetles won a bike! There were special jar traps everywhere. I was so jealous! It sounded like an easy way to get a bike. :-)
