Besides what you list, clematis - Bees Jubilee, Niobe, Vyvyan Pennell, Willy (that one is new though), Rose Blanc Double de Coubert opened today, tomorrow should be Zephirine Drouhin, spirea japonica, a euphorbia, rock rose, azaleas, a sorry camellia, Lonicera sempervirens, centaura montana, foam flower, ravenswing - cow parsley, hawkweed - leapord plant, pyracantha, kerria, sedum, ajuga, woodruff, nectaroscordum, waterperry (veronica),a few annuals,a few viburnums - V. tribolum and V. sargentii Onondaga, Rainbow Leucothoe, hellebores, bleeding heart - dicentra spectabilis, iberis, broome, baptista, solomon's seal, those pink creeping strawberry plants, regular strawberry plants, cornus though not showy,a blue perennial salvia I started from seed is just opening, I'm not sure which one, not S. nemorosa though one of those is getting close too, maybe viola freckles is still blooming, one red astilbe is starting, the rest not yet. Other things have finished, others are getting ready to begin.

Gold, the owner actally wrote us a very nice, informative letter on the history of the house. He says the front door wasn't always exactly where it is today, but that it would be "hard to explain" the original layout. We also learned from his letter that prior to the 20's the house was a small hospital of sorts. The current "library" was actually two separate patient rooms and there were nurses quarters upstairs. The house also used to have jack and jill staircases, but the jill was taken out many years ago. I'm kind of bummed by that, as the jack and jill stairs were one of things I loved most about our old house. But, if the the staircase were still there it would lead up to our closet, so I guess it's a good thing it's gone!

I too used to live on this site, I still lurked occasionally but drove me nuts when I wanted to post and could not. I don't remember what my name on here was either , since I was able to post I am now a grandmother to two grand daughters one 4 and one 18 months, I am way excited I can post here again, I was just sitting here looking around this morning and saw we could post again so I registered and I am so excited to be back. Hi - The issue was never “replying to posts“ it is posting new threads. My results are very inconsistent, I’m playing around on a laptop right now and I can’t do now what I could do five minutes ago, and that is be logged onto gardenweb. Everything seems subject to very specific sequences which are hard to recreate when you’re just poking around trying anything. I seem to have found that by being in the forum I want to post to in houzz, and requesting desktop site (I’m always on my phone) and posting a new thread it does default me to the current thread so I can post. I can’t cross-post of course, say between kitchen table and cooking forum, because neither are listed on the Houzz version. But I’m ok with that because I don’t care for the practice anyway. Anyway, at this point I have taken up way more than my due share of forum space, so I’ll consider it “good enough“ and hope that houzz responds to me this time. Thanks!
