Carolyn22 - I actually don't remember exactly....it is about 20x30 including the waterfall. I've really enjoyed the sound of water, watching the fishes and birds that frolic in the waterfall. I will need to lift and divide some of my waterlilies soon.

I'm very flattered by your kind words. But, you also hit the nail on the head. Its one that I actually think about quite alot. How wonderful is it that we have such beauty around us to TRY to capture? Most of my shots are of nature and I figure I am just lucky to have them to shoot. I try to give thanks for the beauty around us, and the resources and health to enjoy it every day. They ARE miracles. And, if I keep at it, I figure one of these days I will be able to do a decent job of catching some of those wonders. :)

You can always insulate your pond too depending how big it is..I use 2x4's and put them across the pond..Then I staple thick 7 ml plastic to the boards and hold the edges of the plastic down over lapping the edge of my pond with rocks..then I lay pink insulation over that then another layer of plastic to keep it dry....Then you could poke a hole through all of that making like a chimney with PCV pipe sticking out of your pond tall enough not to get covered by snow and pushed into your pond to allow air to escape..Makes sense? I also have a friend that throw boards over his and then piles on full bags of leaves which which insulate and keep his pond from freezing.. You should always have water movement bubbling to the surface to prevent the top from completely freezing...
