This was a gift to me during Tet Holiday, an old man here had grown it for about 20 years with a little styling and a lot of wire marks. After paying 600.000VND for it (about $35 USD) I've started to refine the style and make some changes. I'll post a few new pics soon. It is about 28" high and about 35" long...yes, it's growing in water, the roots are firmly grown over the rock and live happily in the water. I may make a pot change in the rainy season if I can find the right pot here. Image link:

I have a rocking chair where the bottom of it broke the pegs out of the legs gave out and the bow snapped off one side of the chair. Can this be repaired? Without taking the entire bottom legs and bow off?

You might try hosing them down in the morning. Painting might make them look cleaner, but when it comes to sitting on them they still have to be cleaned. I finally figured out fixing my deck up nicely was just adding another room which has to be cleaned. The only furniture I have on my deck now is one lounge with removable cushions. I keep the cushions just inside the patio door or in the deck box. When I hose down the deck I hose down the lounge frame. This post was edited by EmmaR on Sun, Mar 3, 13 at 9:05

I always think of these chairs as Antique Carpet Platform rockers. Here is one example with some information. ETA- It takes a minute to load the link. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Antique-Furniture/2013/1/antique-rocking-chair-3.htm
