My neighbour's daughter is doing heavy de-cluttering in her mom's apartment. She is offering me things, before they go elsewhere. I jumped on the enameled skillet, even though it was gross with black carbon or whatever.

Yesterday I soaked and scrubbed it with oven cleaner brought it to a useable state, and I'm thrilled!!

Oh, I use to have one of those orange enameled skillets with a matching lid. I loved that thing, but I have no idea what happened to it. New ones are so expensive - and seem heavier to me. Maybe I'm just getting older. ;)
