I've got a thing for lighthouses also. I've been to the one in Assateague and many others. Like Casey, I seek them out while on vacation, if there's one anywhere near to where I am.

I too have a thing for lighthouses. I cannot stop myself from taking pictures of one even if it is one I passed (and took pictures of) just the previous day.

While visiting my father-in-law in Maine we took a walk around Beauchamp Point between Rockport and Camden. I decided not to bring my camera since we had done the walk before, but near the end I found a tiny path to a tiny park looking out over Camden Harbor with a beautiful view of the Camden Harbor Lighthouse. Even though we were supposed to leave for the airport in about an hour, I felt I just had to go back to her father's place, get my camera, and return to get pictures of the lighthouse.
