Ron, my daughter lives in NM, and goes to the Gila wilderness to hike. Well, that was before she got pregnant. ;) I have seen many pictures of the area. Yours is very pretty.

I've mentioned many times that I spent 16 years in New Mexico. I lived in the Silver City area. It's right on the edge of the Gila National Forest. The Gila is 1.5 million acres of National Forest and Wilderness. For a guy that likes plants and is into the hiking and camping it's a wonderful place.

Great pics! I'm trying to think spring today.

My handsome Uncle Eddie. He had polio as a child and had a withered leg. But within two minutes of meeting him, you forgot about that. He was so warm and funny. And handsome!

A quilt I made for the minister who officiated at my son's funeral. The minister (married, father of 5 young children) is battling leukemia and is now disabled.

The Bible in the lower right corner was made from little pieces of fabric--it took a long time to make, but I was pleased with the finished product.

Susan, I've been looking at the old pics you and others have posted. Everyone looks trim.

Ha! Yes, they didn't have junk food in those days, or TV. Or computers. Or Playstations. And on and on. However, some people managed to get fat anyway. One of these days I'll come across a photo of my grandfather's second wife . . . ;-)
