Taken a few days ago...in my front yard. I still have roses, however, they are really slow to bloom and last awhile, since it's on the chilly side here.

One of our Siamese Fighting Fish, Ninja, who passed away overnight. He was a Crowntail Betta, and more purple than my photo shows. He was a beauty.

He's the 2nd of our fish to pass recently. We had 6, and these were the only two from PetSmart, so not sure how old they were (the others are from another store, and were smaller/young when we got them).

Beautiful pictures everyone!!! I feel like I can step into any of the pictures....except the fighter fish of course.

I can certainly see how that is called Pucker Pass, Vetaal.

Why thank you Jasdip but I have a long way to go before I can count myself in the same category as Karen and others. I do love taking pictures though, so I'm certainly in that camp with Karen.

alisande, 3 years is average - these 2 were between 2 & 3. They can live up to 5 (we've had some that did), so hoping the rest are more on that end of the spectrum! They are the most beautiful fish.

Thanks Erica. I meant to tell you that I used to breed bettas (many, many years ago). What a fascinating hobby! It's quite a delicate dance to get it all played out without anyone getting killed.
