Sorry I've been busy and not been on. It was such a surprise to walk in there and see Mr. Moore working on his roses on one of the tables. I knew he'd been ill in Jan and it's nice to see him look so well. Yes Lance, they had 14 very nice sized plants of Jeri Jennings yesterday afternoon. Up to about a foot tall. They are definitely accepting internet orders and catalog orders as usual. There were rumors they were closed to walk in customers and that's not true, or running out of roses. I specifically asked his manager and she relayed she would appreciate me saying so. I wasn't able to attend his birthday party in Jan as I'd hoped to, so thanks for adding that photo Jeri. Mr. Moore is incredible and he did point out to me his age and that he intends to keep on working on his roses. I fell in love with them the first time I ever walked in there. He was working in the green houses and he asked me if he could help me when he saw me wandering around. I told him that I loved roses and was fascinated by his minis. He helped me select the first ones I ever grew. I told him that was over 20 years ago and he told me I didn't look that old, flatter:) Carolyn says he enjoys hearing from the people who love and grow his roses, that makes him happier than anything else to hear those complements.

I grow hybrid musks for their ability to withstand half day sun. A good 5x5 is the Jeri Jennings rose which can be found at Rogue Valley Roses. Soft yellow, blooms in clusters, smells nice, disease free and little if any pruning needed. I have mine in the same exposure you require and it's one of my favorites. Early spring is probably the best time to move a rose. If you can dig the soil you can move it in March. If it's only 3 or 4 feet tall now I don't think it really needs severe pruning. I would just wrap it with burlap or twine (like Christmas trees are wrapped for shipping) to move it. That should keep anything from breaking. Water it well the day before you move it and dig a big root ball and put it on a tarp to move it intact as much as possible. It should be fine.

If I lived closer I'd take 'Jeri Jennings' in a heartbeat. Can't justify a 12 hour round trip for one rose, however beautiful. Here's hoping you find some takers!
