Just good wishes to all who contribute informaion, share their families and pets, and would love to see some of the former members return, but different things have come into their lives that they choose not to share for personal reasons. We miss you all.

This is a wonderful resolution. I am one that has come and gone because of life getting in the way. The KT is comforting and challenging. The amount of knowledge here is phenomenal when asking for advice. I would not want it any other way.

I miss members that have passed on to a larger table but I do feel blessed having known them.

My KT resolution is to try to stay out of any heated 'discussions' this year. I, too, am not going anywhere, my lifestyle has gotten so narrow, that many days, except for Hubs, you-all are the only people I 'talk' to.

Me either. You guys are my friends. I'll try not to do or say anything offensive. And if I see something that hurts my feelings, I'll be a duck and let it slide right off.

Glenda, you are the backbone of the KT, so you have to stay! You were my very first friend when I joined in 1999.

Hope you don't mind if I tell about our first "encounter". It was hurricane season of 1999, and I had only been here for a few months. My brother-in-law and his wife lived in Jacksonville, FL--and they were told to evacuate. I posted about it here, and you e-mailed me to say that they could come stay with you. That was my first-ever interaction with a cyberfriend, and it really touched my heart. It turned out that they were able to stay and ride out the storm, but I have never forgotten the kindness of a stranger, who I have since been proud to call a friend. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

I hope 2011 is your best year ever!

This was very timely. I was just thinking about you and was thinking we wouldn't hear from you for awhile after that other silly post. Good resolution!

Good for you, Glenda......I feel that this is "home" to me, regardless of whether I post at any other forums.

Gosh, I miss stuff by not visiting the KT often enough.
Sorry you were hurt here, Glenda, but glad you can shrug it off.

I keep telling myself I should be more vocal about personal attacks witnessed here but unfortunately I am not good with that sort of thing, so I SOB most of the time.

There is no reason for you to leave, Glenda! You were here when I came in 1998 0r 1999 and we have weathered some tough "storms" together. I don't post often and try to stay out of most of the controversy, but I don't think leaving should be an option. You are always welcome to sit beside me at the "table". Bettye/AZ

You know, the KT is just like the real world. People can be mean & cruel where ever you go. What ya gonna do, drop off the earth? You just keep going is what you do. You just can't make everybody happy so don't even try. just let it go in one ear & out the other.

The Man, The Boy, and the Donkey
Spiritual Story by Unknown

A Man and his son were once going with their Donkey to market. As they were walking along by its side a countryman passed them and said: "You fools, what is a Donkey for but to ride upon?"

So the Man put the Boy on the Donkey and they went on their way. But soon they passed a group of men, one of whom said: "See that lazy youngster, he lets his father walk while he rides."

And thus the Man ordered his Boy to get off, and got on himself. But they hadn't gone far when they passed two women, one of whom said to the other: "Shame on that lazy lout to let his poor little son trudge along."

Well, the Man didn't know what to do, but at last he took his Boy up before him on the Donkey. By this time they had come to the town, and the passers-by began to jeer and point at them. The Man stopped and asked what they were scoffing at. The men said: "Aren't you ashamed of yourself for overloading that poor donkey of yours and your hulking son?"

The Man and Boy got off and tried to think what to do. They thought and they thought, till at last they cut down a pole, tied the donkey's feet to it, and raised the pole and the donkey to their shoulders. They went along amid the laughter of all who met them till they came to Market Bridge, when the Donkey, getting one of his feet loose, kicked out and caused the Boy to drop his end of the pole. In the struggle the Donkey fell over the bridge, and his fore-feet being tied together he was drowned. "That will teach you," said an old man who had followed them:

"Please all, and you will please none."

Isn't that so true!

I haven't been around much either and didn't know you had considered closing the door on the KT Ms. Glenda, but glad you reconsidered.

I'm hoping to spend more time at the table in the coming year and meet more of the newer people. Like McPeg, I've let too many things get in the way.

Here's a pie for you.If I could I would make one and deliver it to you in person!

Scrumptious Peanut Butter Pie

1-8 oz. Package of cream cheese softened
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1 C. heavy whipping cream
1 C. powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. of milk
9 inch graham cracker pie crust or baked crust
1 C. heavy whipping cream for topping
In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
Add Peanut Butter and milk and mix well.
Fold in 1 C. of the whipped cream until thoroughly combined.Pour into pie shell.
Whip the remaining cup of cream with 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar until soft peaks form.Spread over top of pie and
chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Good for you Glenda!! I don't get here as much anymore as i used to,but i too have been around since 99.

You all have been there for us as we struggle through life each day,whether it be illness,kid problems,DH problems whatever,we know we can always come here for some sane advice,and a shoulder to cry on.

I just stay out of the controversial stuff.As i always told my kids and grands,THINK before you open your mouth,cause once those words leave it,You cam't take them back!!!JMO
