No more dial-up for me!!! Now I can post and also view your posts with photos without having to wait for a Looooonnng time for them to load. It's good to be back! Merry Christmas and blessings to each of you! Bettye/AZ

Merry Christmas to you, Islay. Dcarch, enjoy the weather, you know you'll have to come back sometime, LOL. Here it's 11F, but the winds are down to 15 MPH, so not all that bad. If it gets up to 20F, the salt they put on the roads will be able to melt the ice, and then driving won't be quite as treacherous. All in all, my part of the world got a storm, but not quite as bad as the weather forecasters were predicting. Annie

Wonderful news. I am still on dial up and I know what you mean that you can't view a lot of things. It takes so long even to just get on line here. Happy for you.

Good for you, Bettye. I've had cable internet for about 4 years now and still sometimes marvel over it in comparison to dialup.

Sue, do you choose dialup for your own reasons, or is high speed just not available? It wasn't available to me until 4 yrs ago.

Gadgets, DSL is not available to me nor cable. I am not sure if living in this woods, the satellite will work for me or not. I have to save up the money if I do try to get it, as I would want to pay for it by the year. I don't think anyone would choose to have dial up.
