for once this fall/winter i'm not complaining about orlando fl weather! we've had the coldest weather since i moved down here 12 yrs ago, both the record lows and length of cold days in a row. i'm in horticulture and we monitor the temps and everything involving weather 24/7 as it affects growing our plants. i was starting to think i may as well live up north but it's finally turned. today was 80 should be warm till monday then a dip and tue. back up to our normal mid 70's which we rarely ever hit for the last 2 months i've been hoping for more global warming cuz we are not feeling it in fl this yr :-0 ~ liz

I too really appreciate seeing where folks are from, especially when they are talking about the weather. I'm in San Jose, CA and though it's been rather chilly for us (lows in the upper 30's at night,) it rained today so the temp has gone up. I miss the snow, but a day or two would be good for me!

Eastern upstate NY, where it is still snowing a little with the last gasping breath of the storm! I'm guessing around 8" with some deeper with drifting and lets not even talk about the end of the driveway where the town plow has gone through several times..............

I'm in NC, not complaining - high around 60 today with rain tonight. Monday's high around 35. Then you'll hear my teeth chattering! That's more like late January temps. Christmas day highs in the mid 50's.

Glad you brought this up, so many of the regulars here know each other well enough to know who lives where but we who only post occasionally don't always know.
I'm in Central Illinois and we had and ice storm here yesterday, but it wasn't too bad. 30 percent precipitation today.

I'm chisue. Chi for Chicagoland. We have over a foot of snow on the ground with big drifts. There's a 'dusting' of snow predicted for today. Of course that could turn out to be several more inches where I am, 30 miles north of Chicago along the lake. Wind chill tonight could be minus-30F. Heck! I might as well BE in Buffalo, hostapasta!

I'm in Panama City Beach,Florida. The weather here has been wonderful - sunny and in the 50's at night and 65-75 during the day. It's supposed to be 80 today, then 70 Sunday. It will cool to the 60's Monday and Tuesday, then back up into the 70's with rain. This is great gardening weather!

Here, near Seattle, we have a few inches of snow and below freezing temps which is unusual for us this time of year. Some roads are icy and it's a little scary driving. Schools were closed the past couple of days. We don't "do" snow!

I'm in St. John's, Newfoundland. If you look at a map of Canada, I am as far east as you can go. Here today it is -9 degrees Celcius (16F) with a wind chill of -16C (3F). Last night it was -27C winchill (-17F) so it's a bit chilly. We had a bit of snow and about 1 - 3 cm (1 inch) is forecast for today.

I'm also in NC. Has been nice lately, though foggy and misty. Temps in the mid-high 60's, getting colder next week. Love it here.

I'm in east Texas--Tyler to be exact and I'll keep this weather. It's to be in the 70s today. DH and I are planting pansies. It is supposed to get cold Monday night. Every weather man here tells us something different!

Indiana and we had an ice storm that left several with out electricity and suppose to have snow Sun. and Mon. I now have a yard with lots of down limbs but one of the lucky ones, we never lost our electric.

I'm in Calgary and we were promised -18ºC today and I'm up now and I can clearly see that it's -30ºC and only *warming up* to -21º this afternoon! Now some of you might say, "well, you live in the Great White North! You have blizzards 24/7 365 days a year! Get over it!" NOT! This is Calgary! We haven't had this cold weather in a few years. I was loving global warming. We have more snow on the ground now than we had all of last year! I don't think we got our first real dump of snow until March last year!!! We didn't even get our final April dump of 18" of snow. That is REALLY unusual. AAAaaaannnnddddd......... this is Calgary. King of the world renown famous Chinooks! It's usually only blistering cold for a few days, then a Chinook comes over the mountains pushing all the cold air into Saskatchewan (they can have it! LOL) with a beautiful warm front behind it. I keep looking to the west waiting to see the Chinook clouds and they're never there! It's been almost 2 weeks of this crap! No, it *has* been 2 weeks of this crap because I lost my car in an accident 2 weeks ago. (boy my coffee must have more caffeine in it than usual,eh?? LOL) At least we know 100% for sure, we're having a white Christmas this year. Most years, it's a brown one. There's no way this stuff is all melting by Thursday with the temperatures they're forecasting this week.

10 miles south of Boston here, cold in the 20's 1 foot of snow and it is till coming down.....shoveled out at 6 am...now I ask, when will it all melt????? can you say April. LOL

North Central Ohio. It's about 25°F here and a real fine snow falling. We had the rain and ice yesterday with some limbs down, but otherwise not to bad. It won't get much warmer today. Tomorrow we are supposed to have -10° wind chill.

I'm just 20 miles northwest of Rochester, Minnesota. In the southeatern part of the state. We had 7 inches of snow Thurs night. Suppose to get 4 to 8 more today with high winds this evening as the storm moves out. That will mean lots of blowing and drifting snow. Then, the cold comes in behind it with a low of -12 by Monday morning.

Not really complaining yet! I'm about 20-25 miles east of Pittsburgh and right now, mid 30s,no rain, no snow, nothing...BUT, ask me later, it's supposed to get cold, snowy and icy by morning...But that's Pennsylvania's weather, you never know what's going to happen...Even our famous groundhog can't get it right most of the time.....

Here in South Central Texas it was 80° yesterday and about the same today. People are wearing shorts and t-shirts to do their Christmas shopping. I LOVE it! But it won't last. We have an artic front coming in tonight and tomorrow's high will be in the 40's. :o(

I'm in Central Newfoundland not far from Barbra3 and our weather is much the same,but it was a brilliant sunny day,so DH and I went outside and shoveled our 2 ins of snow and enjoyed the fresh air.

I live in SE Wisconsin, and Wisconsinites claim inalienable rights to complain about the weather any time of the year. However, Our summers are good.

Seattlelites complain about the weather all year too. :)

Big storm has come through and we're getting dumped on again. It is cold and windy out there!!!

I'm in Coastal Texas and it is 41 degrees right now. Todays low is 31 with a high of 49. But, 20 mph wind and a overcast. Yucky gray sky.
