I think it is only fair to speak up, the person posting may not know the plants can not be propagated via cuttings, OR that it may not survive outside the normal environment it is accustomed to, OR they do know and don't care because they ae looking for something specific and know what they are offering is highly sought after and folks will go all gaga over it. Same goes for sterile seed, not everyone is a expert on plants and seed an in general may not have knowledge the plant can not be started from seed. I think the people who DO have this knowledge should let other members know they can not grow from the seeds/cuttings offered. BUT I also think the person who will be posting these facts should send a message privately to the person who is offering either offers in these situations and gently tell them the facts about the offered items BEFORE posting publicly about them. This gives the original poster a chance to close the post themselves. IF they choose not to close the offer, THEN something should be said. WITHOUT slamming the poster. It can be done with tact and grace. I for one would want someone to tell me the facts about an offer IF I did reply to either kind of offer mentioned above simply because it is not fair for those responding to the offer not to get what they think they are getting. It would upset me to know I got something that would be impossible to make grow especially if I gave something really good for it! When there was someone who could have told me not to make the trade. Plantwise postage is too high to lose on plants which can not be propagated via cuttings. It just isn't fair. It is our responsibility as good GWbers to help out our fellow members I would definitely say something if I knew the offer is not going to come out good for the ones receiving. you can absolutely do the layering in containers just as you would in a boxed off regular garden. People even get those big 50 gal round plastic trash cans cut in half and grow potatoes in straw...clean potatoes! i'd imagine a kiddie pool could be useful...all amended with appropriate drainage holes, I would think. have you ever read any of Patricia Lanza's lasagna gardening books? There's one specifically for container gardening. I love her!

sue it is made for wood floors..no need to dry the floors at all..they are nearly dry from the FM. It sucks up all the water..it's a great machine.. Ree dx they have been around for a while now..I am on 7 years! where have you been?? LOL!!! also, I didn't mean that it was 'hard' to remove the parts or wash them..I just find I have to stop a lot to empty and fill and it is a little time consuming..believe me, if I had one for years and keep buying them..gotta tell you something :) and yes, it amazes me everytime I empty the bucket and see how dirty it is.. I still can't figure it out..I think a lot of it is dust.... probably the same for you! enjoy your clean floors!! Ree

Well, Mimsic and Jo, you're right. No one would ever eat such an egg, unless it was blown by someone dear and very, very close to you. I'd eat it if it was one of Jim's jobs (has anyone checked on my dear Jessica? I think she may be hyperventilating). I figure since Jim and I exchange germs quite often, I'd have no qualms eating the violated egg. AB, Gina and Jo, I tried the egg test last night, and it didn't work for me. But I guess, I'd have to contribute that to my poor lung capacity. Which is just as well. Nothing says ew like a nice boiled egg ... with spit all over it.
