I'm watching and really getting a kick out of Modern Family. So funny!

If you are watching, which family do you enjoy the most?

I like the couple with the adopted daughter. The heavier guy is a hoot!

The show The Middle is one of my new favorites too. Love the family's older unremodeled house and mismatched appliances. Recently the mom wanted to sit at the kitchen table with the family to eat and they realized the youngest didn't have a chair because they all ate in the living room since before he was born.

Modern Family and The Middle are our two favorite new shows this season!

Can't pick a favorite family in Modern Family because they all have such great stuff going on. Each actor is perfect for the part they portray, too.

The Middle is a hoot and a half! Again, each actor is absolutely perfect in their role. Love the way that Brick whispers to himself!! I hope that they continue this little quirk and don't "cure" him of it.

I think the thing that's so great about both of those shows is that the characters and situations are so real. We can all relate to things that take place in the various episodes, or things that the characters do/say/think. I hope both of these shows stay on the air for a very long time.

I have a few friends that pride themselves on critically analyzing TV shows and only watch the best. If a how passes their test, it's gold. Their past fav's: How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Community, 30 Rock, Dexter to name a few. When they recommended Modern Family, I knew I was in for a treat. It's sharp and fast-paced, rewarding the smart viewer that can keep up. Don't you love it when a show does that? Instead of playing down to the lowest denominator. Modern Family is a great watch.

It's the three houses I enjoy noticing on that show and how they are supposed to reflect the different personalities who occupy them. The Dunphy's is a standard current version of the picket cottage and very conventional, reflecting her mostly, not him (who surprised her by saying he'd make the living room a showcase for magic if she dropped dead. :) My favorite architecturally is the two guy's, although not being two guys I'd have to find a way to get a bunch of sunshine in there. Maybe all windows face north... In that case, it'd be Phil's, cute as Claire's is from outside.

Lindsey, I saw this on Patricia Heaton's Wikipedia page: "On February 29, 2012, Heaton made several negative public remarks against Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke, joining the controversy surrounding the law requiring insurance companies to cover contraception. Following criticism for her remarks, Heaton apologized days later." I get weary of people behaving badly, then apologizing. I wonder if she ever gets tired of playing the beleaguered housewife, first in Raymond and now in The Middle. I get a kick out of both shows. In Modern Family, Gloria is so funny. In the Middle, there was a scene where Axel was trapped in a library and he did a little solo bit by himself. It was quite impressive, and I think he's a good actor.

Not sure why we need another show about little people since there is The Little Couple and Big World, Little People. Exposure is great though and if it makes people more aware and compassionate then it's a good thing.

Kathy, I think I like the family with the adoptd daughter too. Both parents are very funny, an baby is adorable. The Dad and the Colombian wife are very entertaining as well. Did you see it this week when baby had a head bump and they took her to the doctor. Honestly, I don't usually find TV funny, but I really laughed at the doctor visit.

Modern Family is filmed on the street behind my DDs house. She lives a few minutes from the studios.

I get a kick out of it too! Loved the one when the baby was locked in the car and the big guy running with a ash tray to break the window.
