I've only bought a few things so far and right now it's in my trunk in a black garbage bag. But Lauren now knows so I have to move it. I can't put them in a closet, they would find it in two seconds. When the ex and I were together we had a waterbed with one of those pedestal things with drawers and at the end was a couple of doors and a long, deep hiding spot. Alex eventually found that one too.

Mine is in the garage too Connie. I've only gotten one so far. It is the Guitar Hero game with the guitar, so kind of a long one. It's under a table in the garage, under some black plastic. The smaller ones, I'll wrap as I get them (hopefully). No one will probably be here before Christmas anyway, so not much of a worry of them being found.

Growing up, my mom was the worst hider! She either left it somewhere obvious, or forgot where they were hidden until after X-mas. One time I was sitting on the couch, got up and saw a board game hiding behind the couch! lol

LOL Teresa I am kinda like your Mom, sometimes I hide things so good I can't find them again, I've found stuff after Christmas too! Nothing big, just small things thank goodness.

I don't have little ones around, and just wrap mine, and put them where the tree will be in a couple of weeks. :)

But when I had to hide stuff, I had a big box in the shed, behind the lawn mower, and hid stuff there from Jerry. :)

A big garbage can, just sitting besides the house was used a couple of times too. ;)

I only have to hide from one GS now,as he comes over every morning and i take him to school.So his big gift is in the closet in my bedroom and he never goes in that closet.

When my kids were small we used to hide them in the attic,the closets and among my sewing stuff.When i wrapped them i never put names on them,just Numbers.#1 was for the first born child,2 for the second and so on.I still use the numbers for the GK's,and their parents havn't told them how to figure it out.I just continued the numbers from my kids.I had four kids,so now the oldest GK is #5,the second GK is #6 etc.

We have a huge shed in the backyard and that's where the big presents are......the rest are in my room, which is off limits to Ricky and Seth until I get them all wrapped.

My mother hid ours in the dryer, we never figured it out as we never used the dryer, it wasn't even hooked up, we used a clothes line (gotta love the frozen stiff jeans:)
My hiding spot is in my cedar chest in my closet. The Hummer we got my son 2 years ago was a puzzle to hide, I ended up putting it upright in the shower in my bathroom:)

The trunk is great when you have little ones. Depending on the size, now it's either under the bed or in my dresser underneath sweaters or something. Right now DH has mine "hidden" on a shelf in the garage--right out in the open. I don't have a clue what it is, and the box isn't real big but he said it was a little heavy.

Our gift to each other is in the garage, too. We bought a golf cart (55+ community, don'tcha know). Got it today! It's not a new one, but it runs great and looks good.

When the kids were growing up, I used to put the gifts in my neighbors basement!! She was kind enough to even let me come over & wrap them!

My oldest of four kids was great at finding hidden presents, practically from birth. The only time I fooled her was when I hid them behind the washer and dryer. She was 18 then and still snooped a lot!

I don't have to have one, Woody wouldn't notice a new anything in the house unless he saw me carrying it in. I do have several hiding spots in the house for valuables, though. Secret hidden drawers, etc. I love stuff like that!

I don't have one now...Just in my bedroom....

But when the kids were little...We had a bathroom at one time in our basement...It hadn't been put in correctly and water would come up out of the drain and stool in heavy rains...So we took the stool and shower out and had the holes filled with concrete....Which left a tiny little room back under the stairway. We would put them back there and lock it. The kids never like going back there anyway...it was too dark and scary...lol

I have a closet under the stairs that locks from the outside. So.. I look the door and hide the key, the kids know the presents are in there but they can't get in there. I couldn't trust them to just wrap them and have them out in the open. One year I bought PJ's for my daughter and put them under the tree week or so before. On Xmas eve she starts telling me "I hope I get PJ's that are cream colored with snowflakes on them" She obviously had opened the box and peeked. I was so on to her! Now presents stay locked up until xmas morning when we put them out while kids are still sleeping.

Our daughter was always the snooper. I remember a couple of times we would hide our neighbors kids stuff at our house and she would hide ours at hers. LOL Our daughter was really surprised those Christmases.

Bobby has never been a snooper. I always put the gifts in the guest bedroom since nobody ever goes in there unless we have company and the door is always closed. After I wrap things they go in the shed.

After the Christmas decorations are up I have several empty totes and so the presents to hide go in there.

I used to hide things in our cold cellar, because the kids never went down there when they were little. As they got older and their gifts got smaller I hid them in my clothes hamper in my bedroom. But one year I did not have quite enough room in my hamper and hid a Pinnochio video somewhere in the house...so well it has not been found in the 13 years that have since passed!

Empty suitcases in my closet. The kids at that time knew the only time I used them is when we went camping and who goes camping at Christmas time.
They looked everywhere and even moved them.

In the garage. But the garage is in such a mess, I'll be lucky if I can find them myself!

under a big ole feather bed in the junk room...the 16 year old has probably already searched it out...he can't stand the suspense...

I now have a new place, we bought a artificial tree today, I put the tree up, pulled the gifts out of the cedar chest and started wrapping them and then I had a flash back to last year when both boys opened the gifts under the tree a few days early and then left them under the tree with the wrapping paper ripped off here and there, I guess they thought I wouldn't notice?? So I put them in the box the tree came in, neither kid has even looked twice at that box:)

We have a fruit celler in our basement. When we moved in, we had some chemicals stored in there, and the kids were young, so we put a lock on it. To this day, DH and I are the only ones who know where to look for the key. And DH isn't sure he even remembers!
