I love it!~I used to play it a lot years ago, now just every now and then but it is addicting~~~not sure I could join in on a real game.

I play it at least once a day. I have figured you want to try to get all 4 of the matching tiles off at the same time and you want to get all 16 of the heads off at the same time so you get a higher score. Or at least as many of them as possible. Try to get all of the same color heads off in a row though. All of my high score are over 700 now and some over 800. I only play the spider one because that is the most challenging to me. I don't always win though.

I love it I play random mahjong app on android. I used to play one online too.

I love it. It's addictive.

I love Mahjong! My favorite is one on the iPad, where you play against the computer--if it finishes first, you lose. Very addictive!

Don't play Titans, but I play Mahjong at Freegames daily--sometimes more than I should!

Raven, Random Mahjong looks like a great app. Is it like the regular game? (The description I read said it was a "unique twist.") I'd like to learn how to play so I can join an occasional game in real life.

Mahjong is one of my favorites!

Here is a link that might be useful: I like this one.

I play Titans every day, usually before I go to bed, I play a game of Mahjong, Spider Solitaire, Free Cell and Solitaire.

I started out playing on line years ago, and then I got a game for my computer, but it is on my old computer. This one came with Titans, so I play that.

Bengardening, I'm trying to sort out what you mean.
Do you mean I should remove a stack of tiles?

I'm not sure what you mean by getting the 16 heads off at the same time.

I've been trying to remove the outside tiles so that one side is exposed.....

I used to play the real Mahjong with the tiles. I was about 18 yrs old, I loved the game. I don't think anyone plays anymore around here.

I enjoy playing Mahjong on the computer also. However, I play the actual game with tiles at least once a week. It takes 4 people to play. It is nothing like the game you play on the computer.

Jasdip, I don't know what she means either....because I "taught" myself how to play. I bet there are all kinds of tricks we may not know about. So I would be interested to learn more.

I have never played the Titan version.

Random mahjong is the regular type but there's lots of options and customizations.
It has easy to hard levels.
I have had several different mahjong apps but that is the best one with the best graphics.

I've downloaded it, thanks!

Pauline makes a good point, though. I don't think playing on my tablet (which I'm sure I'll enjoy nevertheless) will help me learn the game played at a table.

Last? No. Latest? Perhaps!

I have an old shareware version that I like. Instead of the goofy symbols that I have trouble reading, this has a choice to use road signs. I like it. Especially when I was doing a lot of phone support I played many a game while people were rebooting and finding their disks.

This is the best one I've played! It is 3D, which adds an element of challenge to it--plus you play against the computer in a race to see who finishes first. It is for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. There is a "lite" (free) version.

Here is a link that might be useful: Moonlight Mahjong

I want to learn with real tiles too. I have some in the basement. I haven't played in online in years. I think I will over the Christmas break, that, and Bubble Shooter.

Fun game, we have several majjong type games that we play alot. It is rather relaxing to me.

There are many apps that use other pictures rather than the symbols,I had one for a while that used barnyard animals.

No I don't think playing like this is much like playing with tiles,I would love to try that too.

I wasn't familiar with Mahjong until I moved to Tyler, TX where it is very popular. It normally takes 4 to play and it's every man for himself. We buy "cards" from the Mahjong League once a year which contain all the hands that are allowed that year. The object of the game is to make your hand match one of the hands on the card through a process of drawing and discarding tiles. There are a few more rules, but that is the basic premise.

jasdip There are 16 heads of 4 different colors. I never take them off until I dont have anything else to take off. If you do one color of all at a time you get a lot more points for them. You want to try to get all of one color off at a time. The more heads you get off in sequence the higher your score will be. You also get more points for all of the other tiles if you take the 4 matching ones off in a row too. I dont know how to explain this better if someone else understands this and wants to explain it better they can try it. Yes it is addective I just started playing Houstonmoms. I like it.
