The party last night was fun, as usual. The food was great, the ladies were so nice and funny and I think everyone had a good time. Our hostess is so cute and witty and makes everyone feel very comfortable.

The ornament exchange was a lot of fun, loud and sometimes hilarious. My faeries went over really well, I had them all in a huge red sack that I made from a twin size sheet, it was enormous and I told them the objects inside were NOT as large as they appeared to be, when they all started buzzing about the size of the sack. lol I had had each lady draw a name that corresponded to a faerie from a coconut cup, and not a single person pestered me as to what it meant. I would have! lol They were all so well behaved. When it was my turn to present, I asked "who has Camellia?" etc, and handed out the faeries in their string balloons. They were very pleased. It was nice to see that they really liked them.

All but one of the ornaments this year was handmade. From the bottom left-

A beaded/ribboned bookmark/necklace/hanging ornament, very versatile and made by the lady who owns the local bead shop. We all liked very much!

A wire string of gold and silver bells, the top is shaped into a very cool hanger. Nice!

A small penguin made of beads, isn't he cute? He's goofy.

A square ornament, hard to see, looks like an ice cube with felt holly on it. Neat!

A decorated domino with a wire hanger- I love this, how clever!

A felt Santa, VERY nice!

A crochet covered hanger, miniature. Reminds me of the 60's! Really sweet.

Above that- a paper decorated CD with stars, says "You'd better not pout. Amen" lol Cute.

The shiny blue ball- the maker kept apologizing for them but we all LOVED them, they are so whimsical and fun. They have circles pinned to them like pinwheels. Funky, one of my faves.

A grapevine angel with berries and raffia. She made these from her own grapevine, or maybe it was honeysuckle, I forget. Very sweet.

Above that- the painted ornament was purchased, it's purple and nicely done.

The tall thing is mine, I painted jars a few years ago.

In front of it- the ball ornament is covered with silver and clear glitter, applied to hot glue, very unique.

Wooden ornament with little angel girl decoupaged on it, very touching, a tribute to her mother who had breast cancer this year, she's 82 and doing well.

Very nice purple ball ornament with dangly stuff on the top, I like!

The red star is painted and stitched screening. Clever!

The maroon circle thing is paper and folds up nearly flat, I've never seen these before, it's very clever.

Above that, hard to see- a blue and green star that is so delicate, I just love the details it has.

Top left corner- a ball with a tissue snowflake decoupaged onto it, really nice. Top is painted to match.

Very left- a faerie, no balloon cage.

I accidently left one out- it's still drying, it's the bottom of an Altoid's tin and filled with little doo-dads from the scrapbooking store, and then filled with a resin substance. It hadn't set up yet so we were all tippytoeing around with our tins, trying not to mess them up, it was funny. 72 hours to set, she found out as she poured them the morning of the party! lol Mine has a tag that says "naughty or nice?" and I took it because our last name rhymes with naughty. :)

It was a great party. I had a blast and look forward to it all year. Nice ornaments, but nicer ladies and lots of laughs.
