What's for dinner 12/12?

We're having our sub we didn't eat last night. Been in that kitchen all afternoon so I'm so glad I don't have to cook.

What are you having tonight?

I'm finishing up munching on my homemade pita chips and tuna salad. Had bean and bacon soup, as well, but I froze most of it.

We are going out to look at Decorations in our Little Town. I hope everyone has their lights up.

Grabbing Burgers from our favorite Local Dairy Cone. Best in town.

I had some leftover barbecue sauce from the ribs last nite. I heated that up with some leftover roast beef. Put that in pita bread with sliced onions and baby spinach. Delicious!

brie with apples sounds very good . We had a very light lunch so tonight we had deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, gravy, green peas, and tried a new "fried chicken" recipe from the Deen brothers. I was a little leary of the cornflakes for the coating, and wow was I surprised, Guess it was the seasoning, but it sure didn't taste like cornflakes. Used light mayo, egg whites, lemon juice, lemon zest, to coat the boneless chicken thighs. Three year old granddaughter came over for dinner and she loved the chicken. Oh, almost forgot, granddaughter and I made peanut butter chocolate candy. She loves chocolate , and so do I. They taste like reece cups and we ate them until we almost got sick. My plan for tomorrow is to eat light.

Hi Terri! I'll post my dinner here, so that my thread drops down. We set a record temperature for cold last nite -30C. It warmed up to be a beautiful, sunny winter day. -11C. Hubby had the urge for hotdogs, so he had 2 of those and I had a sausage on a bun, loaded with mustard, onions and sauerkraut. Bought some potato salad and coleslaw to go with them. I made a cherry cheesecake last nite and we had that for dessert. It's the uncooked, refrigerated kind with whipped cream. Delish!

Gonna be IMPOSSIBLE to move around in my area, tomorrow, so I drove to a family cafeteria down the road and had fried chicken breast, green beans and squash casserole. Wasn't really hungry so I guess I only ate half of it.

We just finished a pork in the slow-cooker, mashed potatoes and carrots. Delicious!
I'm posting the recipe in tomorrow's recipe thread.

I love making dinner in the slow-cooker, even when I'm home all day. One less thing to do.

There were six of us again this evening. Cheryl brought round steak and I fixed chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, corn, broccoli, coleslaw, roasted carrots, veggie tray, yeast rolls, and Cheryl also brought a black raspberry pie and a pumpkin pie. Iced tea for me to drink. It is really blowing snow out now and getting colder.

I browned chicken thighs in coconut oil then added onions, bell pepper, ginger and garlic and finished cooking in the oven. We also had salad and creamed cabbage with fennel, it turned out great.
