What's for dinner 12/12?

We're having our sub we didn't eat last night. Been in that kitchen all afternoon so I'm so glad I don't have to cook.

I'm finishing up munching on my homemade pita chips and tuna salad. Had bean and bacon soup, as well, but I froze most of it.

We are going out to look at Decorations in our Little Town. I hope everyone has their lights up.

Grabbing Burgers from our favorite Local Dairy Cone. Best in town.

Here in N. NV we have alot of Indians. Few reservations in the area. They sell these on the corners sometimes and at area events. You take bread dough pull it out into a circle, put a hole in the middle,Think bagel and deep fry it.... yea, low cal hahahaha It puffs up and without the hole in the middle, which kinda gets real small with the puffing of the fried bread, it would be soggy in the middle. Then top with all your taco favorites. Meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato whatever. Either pick it up or eat with knife and fork. Yummy. I just fry mine up in a deep skillet with veg oil. Don't have a deep fryer.

Gonna be IMPOSSIBLE to move around in my area, tomorrow, so I drove to a family cafeteria down the road and had fried chicken breast, green beans and squash casserole. Wasn't really hungry so I guess I only ate half of it.

a very humble dinner tonight, cornbread is in the oven now. Daughter brought over homemade vegetable soup. Hubby is having soup and cornbread. I am having cornbread and milk. Grew up eating this, and still love it. Only thing different will be that I didn't milk the cow this morning for the milk. When I was small would take an onion out of the root cellar, sprinkle the bread and milk with black pepper and that was supper. In my older years, stopped the onion, but put lots of black pepper.

Met my friend who is up from the beach for Christmas. She spends most of her time, at the beach, but still maintains her home here and we visit when she is up. Billy's for a Christmas special lunch: I had Blackened Catfish w/ Creole & Crawfish Tails and she had Chicken Saltimbocca-Topped w/ Sweet Marsala, Prosciutto, Cheddar, Parmesan & Mozzarella Cheeses

We just finished a pork in the slow-cooker, mashed potatoes and carrots. Delicious!
I'm posting the recipe in tomorrow's recipe thread.

I love making dinner in the slow-cooker, even when I'm home all day. One less thing to do.

There were six of us again this evening. Cheryl brought round steak and I fixed chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, corn, broccoli, coleslaw, roasted carrots, veggie tray, yeast rolls, and Cheryl also brought a black raspberry pie and a pumpkin pie. Iced tea for me to drink. It is really blowing snow out now and getting colder.

I browned chicken thighs in coconut oil then added onions, bell pepper, ginger and garlic and finished cooking in the oven. We also had salad and creamed cabbage with fennel, it turned out great.

I made hamburg stroganoff and put it over poppy seed noodles.
