Dinner 12/31/10??

Are you eating in, going to a restaurant or party? We'll be at home and I've made munchies so we can nosh the night away. We'll be watching Harry's alma mater, FSU play South Carolina at 7:30. We're having:

Cheese-Bacon dip baked in a bread bowl

Spanakopita

Bacon-wrapped water chestnuts

Brie warmed until melty with grapes, pears and apple slices

At least I got some fruits and vegetable in :-)

Bailey's Irish Creme for later (unless I have a nip or two before then).

Whatever you are doing please stay safe and have a wonderful NYE!

It's 8 degrees here and breezy and we are on the verge of another storm. You all know how I feel about that so I won't say anything else! ;) Teresa I hope you and your DD don't get sick! Lots of colds and stomach flu around here. I have a roast in the crock, DH has to go to work at 5:30ish so I will have to run supper out to him. I am thinking to make it easier it will be hot beef sandwiches. Yummmmmm. Hope his is still warm when I get it out there! LOL

We went to a little neighborhood Mexican restaurant. I had a carnitas (pork) quesadilla. DH had a carnitas burrito. And of course, chips and salsa. Just a little salsa...oh my heck...it is just a tad bit too hot for me.

I have two Naan Breads left over from a batch I made, so Bob suggested we use them both as a base for making individual pizza's.. Sounds like a plan to me. Ihave chopped onion, chopped green pepper, pepperoni, shredded provolone and Asiago cheese, sliced mushrooms, and some italian sausage ready to go. I have the sauce all mixed up in a bowl and just letting the flavors marry for a couple of hours before I put them together. Simply and yummy.. (I hope).. Carolyn

I went to the NYE afternoon party at the Home where my special needs adult sister, Annie, lives. They had trail bologna, several different cheeses, lots of different crackers, plus very delicious homemade cookies. We had a good time. My kind of NYE party......ended at 3:30pm.

On my way home, I went through Wendy's drive-thru to get a baked potato and chili. I'd been craving it.

Going out to dinner then home before all the parties, hate to be on the road when that is happening. Have a bottle of Asti chilling for midnight, I never drink but a little glass at midnight I try to do.

We had warmed up lasagna.Will have pork and saurkraut tomorrow for New Years. I don't feel to good so may not eat much saurkraut,depends on how I feel.I think the stress is getting to me and running me down.Headache like you wouldn't believe.

We are having prime rib with crash hot potatoes ala Pioneer woman. Salad probably or cheesey tomatoes. A friend made some homemade garlic bread that I will heat up. Champagne with dinner and till the ball drops or I go to bed, whichever comes first.

Our traditional NYE dinner, prime ribe and crab legs, salad and imitation twice baked potatoes (they are made with cauliflower!). Asti to go with it all.

I made minestrone soup today and had that for supper, forgot all about the sauerkraut. There are some indiv. containers of sauerkraut and sausage I had made up one time and froze, hope they are still good to eat. Guess I'll try one tomorrow and find out.

My Aunt told me to come up to her house tonight, she's making all kinds of appetizers for she and her two grandaughters who are spending the night; but I'm another one who doesn't like to be on the roads at this time.

We ordered in Chinese food. Seems we do that quite often on New Years Eve. Good though!
