Hey pink, the bus driver was cute as a bug and one particular beautiful lead singer, in one of the big shows, found him quite attractive. Long story, but we all got big chuckles over her and her actions just as we boarded the bus to head back to B'ham.

I'm finding the Township job is more involved than I thought, Michigan passed Prop 13, which is a very good thing, but now people can register to vote on the day of elections, can ask for an absentee ballot with no limitations, and we're working on letting overseas military personnel vote electronically. That means extra safeguards against hacking, of course. Plus, it's W2 tax time and the prior clerk is taking a 5 week trip to Australia, so no one to answer questions. Thankfully our accountant is very patient and lets me know what they need, but not necessarly where to find it, LOL. And I'll have to run for office in November so there are those petitions and we have a couple of millages for roads and fire protection that will need to be drafted and on the ballot. We're a small township, though, and I work from home, we don't even have internet connection or an office at the hall, so I can do things at night when I won't be interrupted and can puzzle them through. I do hope that DD feels better soon, Christmas is nearly here and it's just not a time when a person is sick. Take care of yourself, though, so you don't catch it too. And enjoy that machine, it's beautiful! Compumom, I was wondering how you were coping with your kids' relocation. (sigh) And I agree, the whole country seems to just be in a bad mood, bickering and fighting and slinging insults like third graders. I thought adults would be above that behavior and could disagree without being disagreeable, but apparently not. Merry Christmas anyway, I refuse to let reality intrude on my Christmas plans. Love reading about everyone's Christmas spirit. I'm getting there but it's a little slower this year. We celebrated Thanksgiving in our home with one son, his wife and 2 little girls. Normally I decorate the day after Thanksgiving but this year we drove to our place in upstate PA on Friday so that we could have a second Thanksgiving on Saturday with my other son, his finance and her family in upstate NJ. Now I'm waiting for one of them to show up and help get the decorations down from the shelves in the garage. DH is unable to climb a ladder and while I can - some of the boxes are too bulky for me to handle. Last night was the annual holiday party in the Clubhouse and it was a really nice event. Catered dinner, music, singing and we had a table of 8 close friends. Springoz - I hope you post some photos of your antique barn with the sleigh- perfect for this time of year. Jen - you've had an unusual year - I can't imagine living in a rental for that long but soon you'll be in your new place and a New Year up ahead. Hope all goes well with the move.
