Did you research it on google search? Most ski resorts are pricy and does that include airplane tickets? Utah is a great state and does get the snow and cold weather.Beautiful area.

We've been to Park City 3 or 4 times to ski, though not recently. We really liked it. It is a great mtn and a great town (I've been back to town for a very brief summer visit more recently.) Travel is easy into SLC, then about a 45 min. drive. I don't remember enough about the lodging to be of any help. We've also skied Breck in the past and, between the two, I much prefer Park City. We ski Steamboat almost exclusively now. In fact, I plan to be on the slopes there by Christmas eve!

Glenda, what a wonderful gift for your ski loving family! I find Park City expensive for food and lodging, but great skiing and fun atmosphere. The less expensive resorts are the world class ski resorts of Snowbird and Alta. I live about 15 minutes down the mountain from there, so that is where we usually ski. Our local paper just listed the SL county resorts as least expensive, with Park City being third most expensive in the west!(right up there with Vail and Aspen)

Travel agent sent me the deal on a studio at Lodge at Mountain Village.

Hi Glenda, my family and I have been going on ski vacations once a year for the last 7 years - usually heading to Colorado. We made it to Park City for the first time last year due to the cheap flights and lodging we found. I can tell you that Park City is amazing - the town, people, atmosphere, and most importantly the snow and mountains. I fell in love with the town and recommend to anyone planning a ski trip. We booked with Park City Lodging and they were great! Very reasonable prices, great location and they can book transportation, lift tickets, activities, etc. I just checked their website and they are offering some pretty great specials. I would check them out (specials page) to make sure you're getting the best deal. I can tell you that staying in town (near Main St.) is worth it! I'm attaching their website for you to check out. I picked up from travel agent, yesterday, a gift certificate she printed out for me to give.

It's for 4 nights at the Silver King or similar in a studio accommodations, 3 out of 4 day lift tickets, ski and snowboard equipment rentals, and all taxes included, plus round trip airport tansfers via shared shuttle van.

Now all they have to do is pick a date and pay for their flights.

This will be their first to Park City. They previously have gone to Breckenridge.

Well that sounds like an amazing deal! and the silver king lodge is a great location! right by the base of PCMR and they can access the free town-wide shuttle, which will take them all over town and to the resorts (if they don't want to worry about parking at certain places).
