There are actually two good ones in that area, Hallet's my favorite is the one just south of Adams, that is another about a mile north of Adams that has a nice selection of perenials, both do actually. Hallet's seems to have the nicest plants I have seen around here. I went to a local plant swap and sale today put on the a group of church ladies in Adams. What fun I had. I bought columbine, bleeding heart, Astilbe for fifty cents each, Hosta for a dollar. large pots of red poppies with buds for a dollar. Ispent a whopping $13.00 and had to make three trips to the car. The plants where small. but healty and I know they will survive the cold winters here. Helped the chuch ladies out too. I am going to take them a bunch of my leftover seedlings in the morning on my way to work, I had such good luck I have way more then I need. Tell them the raglady sent you, they will get a kick out of it, I am one of thier best customers.

Parent of One, BM does not think that there is anything wrong with her behavior. You know how most people realize that they are not a perfect parent, and could probably improve in some area? Or handle some situations better? Not BM. She really, truly believes that she does nothing wrong and that she is a very good parent. To most people, even if their child was a spoiled brat, they'd be trying to figure out some way to spend happy time together and resolve the issues, but it's like the more SS speaks up or pulls away the worse BM treats him. No idea where SS18 was. He tends to stay out of any unpleasantness. His pre-paid cell phone is turned off for lack of money; Lord knows what BM told him. DH is pretty unhappy with his decision to follow in his mother's selfish footsteps but I still hold out hope that someday he'll mature. Love, we live in a two-party recording state. It sucks. Yes, extremely uneasy (and scared!)is how I felt; cell phone and cordless were both with me and at the first sound of breaking glass or thudding against doors police would have been called (and we live in the city so response time would have been pretty quick). DH wanted me to come with them - I wanted to stay. DH keeps underestimating BM. I think it's because they were married, but he'll say that he knows her and she wouldn't do X. Well, she may not have done X seven years ago when you divorced her - but she will now. DH said that she wouldn't even drive down here, I felt that she would. DH really wanted SS to get to spend Christmas at home; I said that we needed contingency plans depending on exactly how nutty BM might get (or if, for example, she just parked outside and stayed!) We don't know for sure that she wasn't here Christmas when we weren't home - DH wanted to spend most of the day here but we decided based on knowing that she came X-mas Eve that we were leaving fairly early in the day. If there is a next time I won't be home.

Well, today is going much better. (Of course I am probably jinxing myself.) I went to the library and spoke to a few acquaintances who all remembered me and none of whom told me I had ratty hair or pimples. The Kindle Fire session went more smoothly, thanks to Frances I think I have figured out a thing or two or three. I think the problem is just plain old slowness. What I took for nonresponse is just plain slowness. I need to wait...wait...wait...wait a little more...voila! Being used to lightning fast responses on my work and home computers, I have become spoiled. It's not that bad, but it is definitely slow. And my two Kindles work differently - my old Kindle can receive books just about anywhere but my new Kindle Fire can only receive books if it has a wireless connection. Except for library books, which are a whole different animal. Yes, it is a learning experience. Anyway, I am tired of Christmas, not the spiritual beautiful part, but the I-don't-have-time-to-be-nice-to-you-because-I-have-better-things-to-do part. I will be glad when the holidays are over and my friends don't hang up on me because they are busy and stressed. I don't have the busy stressed part, because I pretty deliberately eliminated it quite some time ago. For instance, we don't exchange gifts in my family as a general rule. We all agreed quite some time ago that we all have too much stuff. But today is beautiful. It is snowing lightly and looks gorgeous. I'm so happy to have some snow that does not come part and parcel with a huge and ferocious storm. This is lightly falling, moderate temp, no wind, only half-an-inch expected snow. And yes, this is all tongue-in-cheek, I'm hope I have generated a bit of laughter!

We have a 6 qt Nuwave and love it. My favorite thing to make in it are steaks, believe it or not. They are like they are grilled on a gas grill (nothing as good as charcoal) and easy to have done to your perfect inside temp. As our grill season is very short here, I love being able to have steak the other 9 months out of the year without having to clean splatters all over the stove. My kids love fried ravioli and you can do homemade easily in the air fryer. Thaw frozen ravioli and bread with egg and breadcrumbs/parm and spritz with oil and cook in the AF until crispy. Wings are great in the AF too without the mess and babysitting of deep frying. I have a large Breville toaster oven with convection and a range with convection and the way an air fryer works is much different. The air speed is much greater which crisps things faster without over cooking. In fact, if you make burgers in one and toss on a slice of cheese without something on top to hold it down, the cheese will fly off the burger before it melts.
