Windows 7, correct? Right click on the desktop, left click on Personalize. There are Themes that can be chosen there that use coordinating or contrasting colors for everything from application borders to text. I don't typically use Chrome, it's my hubby's preference and I just realized that Chrome has Themes too. They are found under the 'orange' bars in settings, then appearance. Right they are 2 different things, Google is a search engine that never needs updating. Chrome is a browser by Google and it does need updating but cancan be set up to update automatically. Chrome would bebe the same as Internet Explorer or Firefox they are all browsers which you use to take you to the Internet and the various websites you visit. So what exactly is the language and phrasing of the message you are getting? You said you have Google, you might use Google to do searches since it's only a search engine not something you would have. In your statement who is They?

Sounds like something changed the default programs to open pictures up in Chrome. You can change it back to the default "Windows Photo Viewer" by using the instructions mentioned on this page.
