I haven't shopped yet! I am going to a jewelry party tonight and hope to pick up at least one present there. My list is pretty easy except for the twins. They already have everything under the sun!

I am a college teacher and the stress of final classes, papers, and exams doesn't let up until about a week before Christmas. I don't shop until the last minute, therefore. I also celebrate the liturgical Advent season and, therefore, try to keep things low key until the last minute. Works for me!

No, I haven't shopped yet. I did send for 2 Guitar Hero games, one with the guitar and game together. I got that one, but am still waiting for the Guitar Hero III. Seems to be a delay on that one. Funny, it was in stock when I ordered it.
To be honest, I'm afraid to go out shopping now, after the mall incident yesterday. I'm doing gift cards for my California DD and the family. It's easy to mail them, and they can pick out what they want. It's a lot cheaper to mail cards than gifts. Mom sent 2 pkgs there yesterday which totaled $22.00 and change. One pkg, was 2 animal bath towels for the kids, and some small paintings (9x9") No frames on them. They'll arrive on Tuesday next week. 6 days. I'm soooo not in the Christmas spirit this year.

I'm with you. No shopping done yet. My list of those I buy for is small anymore. In the last 10 years my husband and I have lost our mothers, my dad, my sister and her husband, and my husbands brother, so we don't have those to buy for anymore. The kids are grown, but not married so we just buy for them and my single sister. Each other too of course.

I haven't done much, that is for sure. We buy for about 25 people, plus I shop for the gifts that are from my mom and dad to others as well. Guess I should get going.

I've only gotten a few things for the kids.

I've purchased exactly 3 things...I wait till the last minute too..no place to hide goodies for the boys..

I have a few things done but haven't finished and still have a long way to go. I was hoping to get out this weekend but the weather is supposed to be bad.

I haven't done any real shopping yet (hanging head in shame). DH and I will go this weekend. Ours is very low-key since we only buy for DS and his GF, a couple who are our closest friends, and a few things for the house and each other.

I used to start shopping in September. The first day of school I took the day off, put my two girls on the bus, then went to the stores for stocking gifts. I was usually done before Thanksgiving. My kids are no longer little, so I usually start early in December. At this point,I have bought lots of gifts, a couple of mail order catalog gifts are not yet received, but all I have left to do are wrapping and cookie baking. And a couple of parties.

Yep, me! I have not bought one single thing yet and I have 3 boys ages 3, 6 and 10 to buy for! I usually wait til the last minute every year, even though I tell myself every Christmas that I am gonna look for sales throughout the year. I am a PROCRASTINATOR!!!

I haven't bought a single thing either, and don't intend to. Ever since Bobbie died, we've just let the holidays pass by with no fuss. I'm not even sending out cards this year, that's how easy it's going to be. :)

I did some online shopping and bought one present in a store.
I'm hitting the internet stores tonight to finish up.

Set up my own tradition -
The week of Thanksgiving, I take off work and go to the garden center and start buying Christmas ornaments. It's near Mom's crypt so I decorate that for the holidays as well. Maybe buy a couple Poinsettias.
Shop on Amazon Thanksgiving day, I already KNOW what I need.
First week end in December all the girlfriends (an even dozen) rent a beach house in DE and shop the outlets (tax free), drink, eat and sing bad karaoke at the gay bar.
Shopping becomes it's OWN reward...

Started?...some people have started? That's almost depressing to me. (only kidding...I think)

I can have a hard time with Christmas. It's difficult for me to live up to my own expectations...or what others expectations of Christmas are. It's easy for me to feel like a failure. Can you tell...I'm feeling like that right now? The house is not decorated, I have no baking done, only a few little gifts are bought. It feels like Christmas is sneeking up on me...again! But how can that happen...It's not like it's a SURPRISE...it's been on the calender for OVER A YEAR!

Oh Well...it will be fine. Christmas will happen, with or without me being ready...it happens all the time!

I have picked up a couple things for Bradley, but he's always w/ me, so I keep hoping dh will have time to watch him on a weekend...I'm running out of weekends and starting to talk to some other mama's about swapping babysitting for shopping time.

I have not done any shopping. I'm in the same situation as Flamingo.

My Dad passed away in June of this year and my mother, my husband and I are just not into Christmas this year.
