Oh gosh. I knew it. That poor child, who knows what she went through first!
I cannot fathom what in the he!! is wrong with her Mother or Grandparents.
There are SO many people that would have taken that little girl if her "mother" didn't want her!

I think something is really fishy with this case. The bones were found right by the side of the road that was surely searched numerous times. A utility worker finds a plastic bag and a skull falls out bound in duct tape. Was the rest of the body not in the bag? The equusearch guy said that whole area was under water during the summer due to a hurricane yet there are pictures of a pristine book laying on the ground that supposedly is the same book we have seen Caylee looking at on TV. Plus there were reports that the utility worker called autorities earlier in the summer to notify them to look in the same area.

Something seems fishy to me. Maybe the utility worker knows the mother and dumped the body and articles at that spot. Why was the head in the bag and the body scattered all over the woods. Why was the book in great condition if the Equusearch guy said the area was a swamp due to the hurricane?

I feel sorry for the grandparents but am glad that they know where she is now.

I just knew it. Last weekend the experts were saying they would know within a couple of days. When it took longer than that, I knew they were "dotting the 'i's' and crossing the 't's'". If it hadn't been her, they would have informed the public days ago.

Poor little Caylee. This is so tragic.

I read the utility worker notified them previously 3 times about his findings. And the same officer responded to the site. An investigation with that officer has been started.

Somebody needs to "rot" for this aweful crime.

Poor little thing, hate to think of what she had to endure. Makes me sick.

How sad. I get so pi**ed off when parents(??) do this to their babies.
CB I heard that same thing about the utility worker calling in in August. They ignored the calls by him saying they'd already searched that area.
Who/where is Caylee's father? Do they know?

I thought I heard that Caylee's father had died.

Here's a link about today's news.

I also remember that the grandfather was searching in this same area. Something for sure is very strange.

I keep hearing about duct tape, but I hadn't read that...can someone post a link? I've been pretty interested in this case, despite the sadness of it. Casey Anthony better be tried and found guilty! Not reporting your kid missing for a month because you are "trying to find her yourself"??? Partying? Shame on her---a selfish, self-indulged girl.

I watched the news conference with mixed emotions...sorrow that she is indeed gone...but relief that she's been found. I just hope/pray that all the mess created by authorities, etc, doesn't permit the guilty party(parties) to get off completely or with light sentences. Yesterday I heard they've assembled a 'dream team' of defense people, and I wanted to throw up.

"Why was the head in the bag and the body scattered all over the woods"

Often times this happens when someone digs a shallow grave and an animal smells it and digs it up. The animal scatters the remains over a wide area.

Bearcat, read the last paragraph in this story:

This is one strange case kind of like Jon Bonet one I bet we never truly know what happened! stacy

There's a picture of her on MSN with the news that it was her. She's just beautiful, huge eyes. How could any mother do that? I don't understand.

Thanks kayjones :) I knew there was an article out there, but my searching skills didn't work today!

I watched Dr Phil yesterday and I do believe her mother knows more than she's saying about the disappearance and now murder of her daughter. BUT, I wonder did *she* do it, or is she protecting someone else who did it? Was there a threat against her and her family? I think there is a LOT more to this than we'll ever really know.

I have huge sympathy for the grandparents. Who really wants to believe their daughter could have anything to do with the death of her own child? I think they know she had something to do with it, but how difficult it must be to say it out loud.

My sympathy for the grandparents is extremely limited in this particular case. The grandfather, if you read is body language, has given evidence of being less than truthful. The grandmother is out and out lying. Does anyone who has children/grandchildren of their own believe that a grandmother could in any way EVER forget that they'd seen (and videotaped) their grandchild on Father's Day? No way. Yet this woman claimed the last time she'd seen Caylee was a week before that. She's lying. Why? Because she KNEW Caylee was dead and that week would buy the time they needed to claim someone else had 'taken' her--and, if the body was discovered and the time of death established, the family could then claim that the kidnapper killed her. I know that's all supposition, but it makes a lot of sense, when you think about it--and could still be used to some extent to muddy the waters, since there isn't any conclusive evidence about how this poor child died.

The scattered bones don't mean a lot, after all this time. As someone said, animals could have done that. Or maybe even the water that inundated the area, then receded could have moved tiny bones of a small child.

The duct tape, as I understand it is very problematic to a legal defense, since it implies intent rather than an accidental death.

Still, just finding a dead child who the ME has determined died by murder, doesn't establish WHO killed her. Still going to be a difficult case for the prosecution, UNLESS they've got some conclusive proof from the Anthony house.

Last I had heard/read about the duct tape is that Casey got some from a friend. That friend posted on her My Space page that Casey forgot to return it. Someone apparently made a print out of that before it was removed. Perhaps the friend? Anyone else hear that?

I agree that the scattered bones are not unusual excpet for the fact that the bag was intact only containing a skull and the rest of the bones scattered in the woods? How would an animal get a body out of a bag and leave the skull without destroying the bag? Flood waters could have scattered the bones, but why was the book not muddy or faded out from the summer sun? Why was the body so close to the road and walkers and joggers not noticing a death smell? Something is fishy?

They keep showing the clip of the tot-mom saying "She's close to home, I can feel it."

I think this is the only statement where she told the truth!

I'm assuming she won't get the death penalty (pity), so the next best thing would be for her to be in prison but in with the general population. Let's see how long she would last in there!

I just hope that she doesn't get off scott-free. MHO only.
