KT members, lurkers with so much tragedy, illness and heartaches

There sure seems to be a lot of KT members and lurkers with some kind of tragedy, illness and heartaches lately...asking for prayers and I am thinking there are probably other's with similar issues that just bare the burden privately... I hope it is ok to post this here and no one takes offense but....When I lay my head down on my pillow tonight I am going to say a prayer for those here with needs.....who have ask and those who haven't....Anyone else want to step up and do the same?.....

Carl18 Having spent my formative years in the garden state we really are on opposite sides of the fence peaking over. There is nothing better in my mind than a Jersey peach or tomato. In regards to composting I have finally bit the bullet and bought a shredder for my soft garden waste and leaves so this will be the year I become a successful composter (I hope). I still feel a little uneasy about running a chipper ( I canÂt get a news story out of CT many years ago when an airline pilot used his to dispose of his wifeÂyikes). Hey Everyone! Wow, I haven't been here in a couple years!! Lots of new names, and some familiar ones too. Tami gave me a heads up to come check in so here i am! I hope everyone is dong well. Lets see, what's new with us? Grant will be 8 next month (July 19) and is going into 3rd grade. He's growing like a weed, has his dads mechanically inclined mind and loves tools and machinery. He's very smart and is a hard worker!! He's independent and sweet!! Camryn was 5 in January and is a spitfire! She's funny and outgoing but she's got a devilish streak in her for sure. She's stubborn and wants nobody to be the boss of her, so she says. She's starting Kindergarten in August and is super excited. She's not a girly girl AT ALL!!! Our dog, Harlow, is 2.5 and is, I swear, Dakota's twin. They act almost identical in every way. It's almost scary because sometimes I feel like they're the same dog. She's super curious and playful, and adorable. As for me, I'm just staying busy with the kids. We just moved out of our house 2 weeks ago into an apartment temporarily while our home undergoes a massive remodel/addition. Well, it's more of a slight rebuild. We are adding on almost 1500 square feet (building a 2nd level) so we are living in an apartment for 6 months. It's interesting but so far so good!! Hope everyone else is doing great!!! I'll try to check back more often!! :-) I'm on Facebook if anyone wants to find me there. Lots of kid pictures. Just give me your KT name or I probably wont know who you are! :-)

Good grief I evidently hit some nerves. I definately don't feel superior nor would I want all to be like me. I feel just the opposite. I love our diferences! Feel that I have grown as a person from many here believe it or not. I kinda celebrate our diferences. I love the KT yes it has evolved, it had always welcomed new people that's the fun of it I think. I have been trying to find a better way to convey my "fun" remark so it doesn't sting anyone since it seems it has. I can't explain it. It was not just us posting, we interacted on a diferent level. I miss it. Simple enough. That shouldn't be wrong nor should it make anyone feel any kind of anger toward any that feel as I do. It doesn't mean I like the kt any less. Good grief. Being attacked for feeling a certain way just reminds me of what some called the meanies. It's not nessessary doesn't change anything. I hope new people continue to come...also that old timers would return.

I agree I have been seeing and hearing of a lot of pain and sorrow this year. Prayers sure don't hurt and I think they can be a benefit.

I already do so, but will make an extra effort to pray for all who are in pain.

I too already try to remember those asking and those who haven't asked for prayers for illnesses, sickness, physical or mental or???
You all are in my thoughts and prayers for a better day and a better year.

I'm not really one for praying but I do have a strong belief in the power of positive thoughts and in the power of cyber-hugs. I will include everyone in those as I go about my day today.

Absolutely. We never know what others are struggling with. We can all use prayers and good thoughts.

I always pray for those who ask for prayers but thank you for including those who don't ask. It has been a tough year for a lot of us and my biggest prayer is that next year will be happier and healthier for all of us.

There does seem to be an awful lot of heartache. I'll add my prayers for well being, peace and joy and love.
