Yes, I'm grateful for the same thing. I just had Christmas dinner with my son's girlfriend's grandmother and her family. Last night I shared Christmas Eve with my daughter and her BF at his brother's incredibly beautiful house. I loved every one of the KT posts in response to the picture of my new fireplace screen.

All of this reinforces the meaning of Christmas.

I am so very thankful for family every day but especially at this time of year. Traditions have had to change as the years go by but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy everything.

I am grateful for the birth of Christ. Also for the lovely snow today (a white Christmas, for once!) and for the fact that I have received an offer on my home (four months on the market) that may actually go through. For anyone who reads this, can you please pray that it does?

I am grateful that a friend invited me for lunch today. We had a great time. She was a gracious host and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I'm grateful I have my health to get outta bed and enjoy this wonderful day, the birth of our saviour...I'm blessed to have found the KT group to share my life...Ya'll mean the world to me!

I am grateful for the opportunity to have Christmas with both daughters and the son in law this year. It's been a while since both girls had been with us for the holiday.

I'm grateful that for the first time ever, I got to hear my 17 y o gorgeous, smart, cheerleader, granddaughter pray. DH or her Daddy always pray but today we kidded her that she had the most to be grateful for, since she got a Infinity coupe (red) for Christmas. And pray she did. It was beautiful and I think everyone was a little teary. I think we don't let our children take adult responsibilities as soon as we should, and that prayer before lunch today was one of the highlights of my Christmas holiday. Who would have thought? So, that's what I'm grateful for today. Along w/ health, which we all have. Well, good health. So, it just shows the best things in life are not THINGS.

I hadn't noticed this Post before. If this is a regular I am joining it. I was especially struck with the Daughter that returned thanks for the first time. We had a good time with DS and his family yesterday and then DS #2 and his family today. When we got home DS #3 and DIL called so we could talk to them. And then I always have KT to visit with. I am VERY THANKFUL FOR KT. God Bless you all.

Above all I am thankful to still have my parents with me to celebrate for one more year. I'm thankful for this last year to celebrate Christmas Eve with DH's dear aunt Ruthie. She has cancer that has moved into her bones and, God willing, will not be with us much longer. But she enjoyed being with everyone Monday night and we were blessed to be with her.

I am grateful that our family Christmas was one of the best we've ever had - everyone was in good spirit even if I did have to wake my children up at 9:30 to start the holiday. I know I stress too much about the holiday - hoping everyone is pleased and happy and trying to find that perfect something that will be meaningful to both the recipient and giver.

But we all had a wonderful day sharing gifts, telling stories relaxing by the fire and enjoying that special bond that binds families together through the years.

And even if we were dismayed to discover when we removed the wrapper from the turkey that it was missing all of the skin on the breast we managed to serve a delicious meal thanks to my husband covered our bare breasted turkey with strips of bacon.

It was a splendid Christmas and I am ever so grateful.
