I haven't played any on your list, but our favorites this year are Mindstein and Orijinz.

A friend of mine played Cards Against Humanity recently with her family and friends, and had so much fun that she bought it for her (grown) children for Christmas. I looked it up on Amazon. It sounds like it has great potential for hilarity, but it's not for the prudish or overly conservative! (And I don't mean that in a political sense, although it probably applies there as well.)

No I haven't. I love playing games, board games, card games.

In our house, besides kid games, we like TriBond (an old game), Taboo and Wits and Wagers. My DH just bought Battleship for my DDs (4 & 8) and they are having fun playing.

My friend's DH is obsessed with board games, probably has 200 or so. Most you've never heard, but he has Ticket To Ride. It was Game of the Year in Germany last year or two years ago. It takes a little while to understand the rules/strategy, but I remember liking it. From what I remember, you have trains that have a mission, i.e. go to a certain locale and have to figure out the best/fastest route. Meanwhile the other players are doing the same thing and maybe using the path you need etc.

Apples to Apples is fun, have played the kids version.

I'd love to have Apples to Apples for when family comes. We usually play Uno--which can be a lot of fun, too. Have to look up Cards Against Humanity and Word on the Street and the others that Chisue posted. Harry's daughter and family come in the spring and my daughter and family come at Thanksgiving. My DD's family loves games, but Apples to Apples would be fun for Harry's DD. No CAH for those, though. They're conservative AND prudish ;-)

For a large crowd, try the dice game LCR, available at Walgreens. Anyone can play, all ages. We use one dollar bills, each round starts with 3 dollars, nickels or quarters are good too, just buy a couple of rolls. and no one is ever "out". I've seen someone with no dollars in front of him go away the big winner of the pot. Great game for groups of 10 or more.

I almost bought Ticket To Ride this year after hearing great things about it. The $40 price made me hesitate. The teens like the Storage Wars Game that was under the tree.

Apples to Apples is fun, especially the "make your own cards" cards.

another who likes Apples......esp. fun for families since kids have the same skills that are required as adults, as long as they can read.

We also like Pictionary Man. It is also good for all ages.

I like Apples to Apples but it's better with a lot of people (more than 6).

I like Qwirkle, Scattergories, Sequence and Cranium.

The other night the "kids" ages, 13 through 47 played "Word Blur" and had a blast....Our grand daughter, 25 mentioned "The Bean" game and said how much fun it is......She is a wiz at these board games........It's fun to see them all sitting around playing games.....

My favorite at the moment is Mexican Train with dominos. Or Uno. I am not a big game player, and most card games are beyond my attention span and mathmatic abilities, but I love playing those two.

I bought Tenzi for my adult girls (a dice game). We had a lot of fun with it. It definitely could be played with young kids too.

The best part is everyone is playing at the same time, so it's a fast and frantic game. And you also can make up your own rules with it.

My husband loves the Gameshow "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader." I think it is reruns now,but he loves to watch it.So I found the board game and he took it to the park for our Thanksgiving get together.The Grandkids,who are all graduated, loved playing with him and they all had a great time.
