Yes, Kathy, this is Gabby, wasn't on for so long due to technical diffculties, and then Abreeze gave me a link and sure enough i was on again. I thought about you and your Mother, and meant to write and ask if anyone had heard about you. So glad to see you peek in, even if only once a week . I know it is a 'tough road, belive me I do know, but you will feel so great in the end, that you gave your precious mother all the love and devotion. ^Think of you often and will hope that God gives you strenght, to carry on as you are,and keep your health up. Thank-you Jessy! A most wonderful Christmas going here. I have in my lap "lee-lee" a fat tabby that loves to snuggle. Her owner is moving and can't take her much loved kitty so Lee-lee moved in with me this week. Lee-lee is a snuggle kitty that loves to crawl right up in my arms and lay her head on my chest. Horrible money problems most of the week. Bank threw me a curve by taking several weeks to approve a line of credit. I'm investing in a local business and we had to have our cash this week. We just made it saving four jobs and at least one home from the jaws of the recession. A group of us in on it so we are having a party next week to celebrate... beer and doughballs! Sis fed me spagetti for breakfast... finest chrismas dining a person could want. Topped it off with some merlot that tasted like cheap brandy and jalapeno chedder cheese from the local Amish farm. If I could do it over I wouldn't change a thing... it added up to perfection. Just me and the animals tonight. I got the kerosene lamps lit so the house has that soft gentle glow. A big chunk of strip steak that is going in the oven with some garlic for a slow roast... done about midnight. A run to Grandma's house tomorrow. Happy Holidays to everyone! : ) lyra

Texashottie, I love that face also on your doggie! rjinga, would love to see pics of your Pit in the snow. My Shih Tzu Panda has loved the snow since she was a puppy and still does at 7.25 years of age. My little Maltese with no undercoat are not that crazy about the snow but will go potty in it and come in from the backyard as fast as they can. I love seeing doggies enjoying the snow.

Thank you for your good wishes for the season ... and I am pleased to return them from a warm heart, with joy.

May we hope for a smidgeon of "proserity", as well ... after the experiences of recent months?

I hear that you're having a real taste of winter, there: if at Lacombe, AB.

We here in Southern Ontario seem to have had a taste of winter a few times earlier ... and now that winter's officially with us, it's been snowing and blowing ... and a friend that went out shopping with me today remarked on how quickly we felt the cold. It's 14 degrees, i.e. -10, in the back porch at present, 4:00 a.m.

Not a night that I'd want to be homeless, that's for sure.

Time to go to bed, I guess - I do need at least some of that beauty sleep that they talk about.

Hi joyfulguy, Yes Lacombe is one of the towns here in Alberta, We're in Red Deer, we do have the blast of nasty cold weather on us right now, you should be getting it in a few days, sorry to send our friends in Toronto such cold cold weather. Have a Wonderful Christmas, stay warm.
