LOL, Rob, I also can't find a blue cheese that doesn't just taste like mold to me, and I've tried several. I keep trying olives, but I still don't like those either, LOL. I've had Chicago Deep Dish in Chicago, but I'm not a fan of pizza, so that went by the wayside. I do want to get to Hot Doug's, although I've also had Chicago Dogs in Chicago. Carol/Dishesdone says I have to have a New York bagel to have had a real bagel, and gelato that's not from the supermarket. I'd like to try a fresh guanabana since Ashley said it was the best fruit ever while she was in Costa Rico, but other than that, I've tried a lot of things and can't imagine what I'm missing out on. I've been to Oregon 3 times. I had a cousin in Portland who passed away last December. My recommended Oregon locations for your Bucket List. 1. Crater Lake 2. Columbia River gorge east of Portland where the waterfalls are - south side of the river. 3. Mt. St. Helens --When you arrive at the visitor's center, first, take in the slide show in the main auditorium. 4. Oregon ocean beaches. There are many other interesting places such as mt. Hood, Mt. Ranier and the power dam on the Columbia,, but the ones in the list above I consider top attractions.

Jim, At what age did your dad attain before he left for more permanent dwelling? I have outlived my parents, brother, but working on grandparents,, had a uncle that played a round of golf on his 100th birthday. My brother was murdered at the age of 43, so no telling how long he would have lived had that not happened. (Maybe that's why I am so adamant about illegal and unvetted immigration.) I love NOLA as well. Love the architecture and music, and all around ambience of the city. It's funny about NOLA, I can walk for miles, and my feet won't ache, but just let me walk around Costco or Sam's, different story, LOL Sabbath, have you tried designing your own cards? I have greeting card programs that I love to use. One is Greeting Card Factory and the other is Platinum Printmaster. Tobey got me a new Smartphone ( that I need to learn to use )and it takes pretty good photos that I can have fun with using Image pro 9. I've made Calendars as gifts using picture of folks kids and pets, kinfolk, special moments, etc. using my old Samsung digi camera. I haven't done calendars for awhile though. The sky is the limit when you have the right tools. BUT WARNING, It can be so addicting. LOL

I forgot the most important thing on my bucket list - to have my own swimming pool. I thought about putting one in my back yard in Los Angeles, but the yard would not be big enough without destroying the pergola, and I like the pergola too much. Therefore, we will be shopping in Palm Springs/Cathedral City for a second house, and it has to have a large pool or else be cheap enough for us to afford to add one. We have an agent there already and plan to look in earnest in December or January - whenever we sell our remaining property in Texas to our nephew. We're giving him extra time, but we've told him that it really needs to happen by December of this year. I think it is great that so many people here travel so much, as it is very helpful to be exposed to other cultures. When I lived in San Francisco in my 20s and early 30s, I went to Vancouver just about every August and spent two months each winter traveling all over Mexico plus Guatemala and Belize. I had very good friends in Mexico City and Vancouver and they always seemed to love having me visit. I haven't seen that much of the U.S. - just the West Coast, SW, Louisiana, Arkansas, and NYC. I don't count airports where I change planes, such as Denver, Minneapolis, Miami, etc.
