Thanks Glenda and Sarah, I guess what my fear is that it won't work, and I'll have to tell hubby that he needs to dig all that dirt out so I can make it into a regular pond! I guess I'd better start being nicer to him, in preparation. :) I personally wouldn't mind at all, having a marsh right off the deck. I just don't want it to smell like our septic field when it wasn't working right! I'll give it a while to balance itself. Sometimes I think the less we do, the more balanced it can be. We just have to be patient. I'm glad, in that respect, I don't insist on "perfection" in the modern world sense! I'm pretty into nature's perfection! I figure if the frogs live in it, it must be okay.

Jane..Oh boy, I am almost afraid to look!! Thank you. Chris: You have got to be kidding me right? That is one of my favorite nurseries for many plants I can't get from others! I was just there last week and they were about to have a HUGE sale on all their out of flower orchids..I think it is happening now..They had quite a few set up on one table..You better hit that place as soon as today..lol $2 ? That is a much better deal than mine..You are so lucky to live close to that place..You should see their "corpse plant" there.. Nick..They must still look awsome..I tell you..The ones in my yard at my house in the Tropics grow the nicest and biggest, some fragrant flower you could ever see while the leaves look like garbage..lol. I once found a Tarantula coming out of one.. Thanks everyone..Happy Friday Mike

Well said Junior. As I, and others have said on this forum: NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING! OVER COMMUNICATE!! We are building our third custom home, and each architect is different, each builder is different, and each sub is different. Even with this home, there are so many things I would do different. I have given our builder lots and lots of pictures. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. He has quite a file on us. We also made a personal binder that contains notes from our meetings with the builder and subs, every bid, every selection, all plans, interior and exterior elevations, etc It's been my bible throughout this process. So far we have been fortunate that our builder has not charged us anything to move a couple windows, move the speaker locations, and a couple other minor changes. He's been absolutely terrific throughout the entire process. Even when we changed the size of baseboards, there was no change order. And he has gone out of his way to make sure he gets good pricing on materials. I personally have purchased most "allowance" items and paid for them as we go. Huge savings.

Hi everyone!Rebekah from Design in a Bag and KitchenLab here. First I want to say thanks to cawfeegirl posting your response to Design in a Bag on this forum...I fell upon this forum and it's so amazing to see everyone's remarks and feedback. I'm glad most of you seem to like the idea, and the criticisms are noted as well! We love hearing about your reactions and aim to keep improving the website and the bag collections. If anyone has any questions we'd be happy to answer them! We love tracie.erin's comments suggesting what makes each kitchen unique is the homeowner first and foremost and each collection is really meant to be a jumping-off point to help bring it altogether and give homeowners an extra boost of confidence when making selections. Plus, each kitchen and bath is often unique in its own way in terms of layout, so between the 'you' factor and the room's bones, each kitchen/bath has it's own unique fingerprint no matter what finishes you use. Thanks and keep checking in - we're going to be running some giveaway contests soon giving away bags of your choice to each winner. Here is a link that might be useful: Design in a Bag
