Looking for knitted/crochet slipper pattern

I know I should be posting this on the "knitting forum" but they are painfully slow to respond.

I am looking for this specific slipper pattern, it is for small children. It is a slipper that looks like a Moccasin, foot part looks like it is crochet and the cuff looks like it is knitted. The cuff goes over the ankle. I saw some at a craft show, should have bought one but didn't.

I have googled it but nothing comes up that looks like it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a couple of patterns for moccasin type slippers for children. One is entirely knit and the other entirely crochet. Don't know of any that combine the two. Both can be purchased online. Here is a link to the knit slipper. It also comes in bigger kid and adult sizes.

I have a knitted pattern (saved from a 1976 newspaper - and I haven't lost it yet) for Bedroom Booties. Very simple - knit a rectangle, fold centre to centre and sew across bottom to make the toe. Crochet a cord and lace through the opening. This pattern could very easily be converted to crochet. It's just a matter of crocheting a rectangle to size. Quite happy to email you a scan of the picture and typed out instructions (the newsprint has faded somewhat and would be hard to read).

Looking for an easy crochet slipper pattern

My mom just used to make a chain a little longer than the lenght of the foot she was making them for. Single crochet until both ends were just above the ankle. Sew each short end all the way closed(toe end could be drawn into a circle) and sew the top of the foot part way, leaving room for the foot to go in. Hope this makes sense. Super simple to make and easy to stick in a purse to go! Tami

Below is a link to a picture of the crocheted moccasin. That particular pamphlet is out of print, but the pattern is still available in a booklet called "Baby Bootie Boutique". I didn't post a link to that booklet because the moccasins are not pictured on the cover. But if you google the title of the book you will find lots of places you can buy it.

No, I am afraid it is none of the above. It had about a 2 inch cuff.

I would have never come up with something like that from your description. To me, those don't look anything like moccasins. The only thing that makes them vaguely resemble moccasins is the colors used. There are many baby bootie patterns that look much like that and you will most likely find one of them at crochetpatterncentral.com.

Actually, they look a lot like the "work boot" bootie pattern in the Baby Bootie Boutique booklet. The picture is on the cover. All you'd have to do is leave off the contrasting stitching around the top of the foot and add the contrasting row of sc around the top edge of the ankle.
