PSA levels and Prostate

My sweetie just got the results back from his PSA test and it's high. His prostate is also a little enlarged. They put him on FLOW and he's peeing lots. It was never uncomfortable for him to pee, but he has blood clots in his urine which prompted the tests. He also had an ultrasound and colonoscopy at the same time of his PSA.

He's real scared, and it will be a couple of months before he can even see a urologist. They're running the same tests on him again to make sure.

I told him that it probably could be other reasons, trying to assuage his fears.

Does anyone have any experience with high numbers and not being cancerous? Is there something in his diet that I can do to help to reduce the risk of prostate cancer?
