That Do-Re-Mi dance is not a flash mob. Those are dancers who were interviewed who had rehearsals. It was a publicity stunt organized by a television show just like the 'big dance' done for Oprah's birthday show in the streets of Chicago who so many mistakenly thought was "spontaneous". Just a couple days ago it was yet again............. 'No Pants Day' where Facebook and Twitter users gather strangers together for flash mob hilarity. He's on ignore. Nothing real important shows up if you type my name. Lindy - I didn't know if you sent a message the person had access to seeing you page. Interesting. Both my myspace and facebook are all private. I find it interesting if a friend of mine comments on someone else's photo that that person isn't on my friend list, I can still click on that nonfriend's pic. It will show up along the side saying "so and so commented on so and so's photo". You can go through that person's full album. I'm sure there's settings but I every time I think I have them figured out someone tags me or something. I give up. I don't like that people can tag me in a photo. I thought I changed the settings so it couldn't be done but my aunt had some real doozie pics of me she tagged and then anyone on your list gets to see them. I mean I looked horrible in these photos. Wowzers. I deleted them but I'm sure they were already seen!! As far as the friend request thing, I thought you actually had to hit "friend request" . FB is always showing friend suggestions or people you might know but I would have to click on them to actually have them as a "friend".. Haha if you don't have a FB account and are reading all this you probably think we don't have lives! Cooper - Ha my Dad and two Aunts have FB. Dad recently wrote something all gushy parent like on my wall. "I'm very proud of you..blah, blah.." :) He even throws some nick names around that I'd rather other people not know. Ah, well. While we're admitting to FB, how many of you guys take the quizzes? Or take the time to do the cow farm thing or mafia wars. I don't understand the point of either but my sister and bil do the farm thing at times. lol Once in a blue moon I'll take a quiz.

Also between what dates count? I started about 20 containers of seeds that say they benefit from a warm-cold-warm period so I started them a little bit earlier! From my first time last year, I remember I did pretty many and there wasn't anything over a 1,000 I think so I doubt there is any bigger nursery folks doing it! lol just alot of people like me who have tons of time to keep racking those containers up! lol I would say maybe the top person from each zone? or top 3 people in the zone that won? Elmer out of curiosity, I took another look at your original post. This is the original and first sentence: The source of this message is who or what? Now I can't speak for anyone else here, but that does not clearly state that it is foolish to rely on sources such as FB for information. It's actually a question, not a statement. The rest of the original post consists of this: I'm sure the companies sending these guys out to work long shifts for such critical work in devastated areas are giving high priority to covering their food and water needs. This statement has nothing to do with FB posts and whether or not they are reliable sources of information. What it does do is make a statement about something that many here (some of whom have just survived harrowing experiences with Hurricanes Harvey and Irma) are experiencing first hand. Many of the resulting comments seemed to be in response to that second sentence and some of them objected to or rejected your comment as inaccurate. It was later that you left a second post that clarified your position on FB posts, but by then the horse was out of the barn and people were more focused on the issue of helping utility workers and other responders by offering them food and drink. Had your first comment been more clear in regards to FB, I think you very well would have seen different responses from many of the people who posted. I also think it's a good idea to keep in mind that this is a hot button for people who are just barely getting by themselves after these two horrendous storms and perfectly understandable why they feel so strongly about the issue. It is also rather dismissive to imply that people who are dealing with the aftermath of these two storms don't know what they are talking about when they witness daily the actions of utility workers, police, first responders and volunteers. Having said all that, I am done with this thread. There is no point in my making any further statements as I have said what I have to say and I don't wish to argue or make this anymore unpleasant that it's already become. Kathy had the best of intentions by starting this thread and I'm pretty sure that she did not expect to see it deteriorate into what it has now become.
