Gazania, they were being raised (pupated?) in a butterfly and hummingbird enclosure. There were many of them behind a glass display case.

Karen, I once asked you how you got your colors so vivid and you told me that a UV filter (I think) helps. Do you use a UV filter on all your shots, outdoor only, indoor only. You also have a great camera, which I don't, cant justify that kind of expenditure for the amount of photos I take, but I'd like the few I do take to be the best they can be. Mare

I'm curious. My browser...IE8...delays...or won't open at all...Karen's "Tiny Pic" photo storage site whenever I access this photo thread. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem...whether it's my browser or Tiny Pic or this particular Garden Web page?!?!?! I love your Tundras!! That's a priceless picture.

Taigen, that's just a few of her dogs! LOL I think she has 9 all total.

Thanks! Those pictures are from a few years ago, all but one have passed on now. Woofman Jack is the reindeer ... Rick found a little set of antlers at a yardsale the summer before, and glued some padding and ties onto them so Woofman could wear them. The yorkies are Scrappy Doodle, Bugsy, Pebbles and Rocky. Bugs is the only one still with us. The yorkies kept hopping out of the sleigh while I worked to get just the right shot ... we had to finally put their harnesses on, and then Rick ran twine through the harnesses and roped them into the sleigh! You can see from their expressions, they were NOT so happy about that. LOL.

And yes, at one point we had nine dogs, but are down to just six now. We're trying to let attrition drop the numbers, but it's hard not to adopt another one (or two or three LOL). With the economy the way it is, there are just so many at the rescues that need homes.

Stoney, didn't you have 3 tundras? I remember seeing a pic of the pup on your deck at one time. Do you only have one now?

Jasdip, our original was Woofman Jack, who passed away two years ago. He was my "heart" dog. We still have his wife, Mysti, and two of their children, Tallulah Belle and JacksonBlu. And then three yorkies ... Bugs, Tobie and Punkin Pie.
