I love Vancouver!

Bat wanted out, so Itook him with me to get the mail...ok, I carried him with me to get the mail, and set him down while I got it out of the box. He wasn't as thrilled as he thought he would be :)

jeaninwa-how did you get your cat to wear a harness and a leash??? We tried that once and it was more like taking the cat on a drag...they just wouldn't walk...

We've been putting it on him from the minute we got him. He doesn't really walk well on it, but he doesn't fight it either, and he loves going outside. When we go out for "walks" I usually go where he wants. LoL He will follow along with me with a little coaxing and a little dragging, but when he just won't....and I definitely don't want to drag him around...that is horrible.....I just pick him up. He would probably love to be an outside cat, but he only goes out supervised. If it's warm, I'll hook his leash to something right outside the door, and let him play outside for a little while.

Bryce Canyon, Saturday....the trail goes down to Thors Hammer....

Bat is adorable Jean!!! Good for you for getting him used to a harness.

This is as much as Bud will let me do with him, and he's completely embarrassed.

A couple of years ago in a big snowstorm wher we got this much snow:

My dog had more than a little trouble getting around:

jeaninwa that is what I had for my cat. You don't take a cat for a walk you go where they want to go. I would hook mine on my clothes line sometimes and he loved it. He could cover a big area of the back yard. When he wanted to go out he would meow until I took him out and there was no changing his mind. He didn't like it in the winter though.
