I guess I should have introduced myself again before responding to a couple of posts. Anyways, Hi, I'm June, love reading your posts and seeing what's happening in "Kitchen Table Land". I don't post anywhere much, but do enjoy checking in every now and then. Hope there's room at the table, I did bring chocolates

Merry Christmas to you, too June and welcome to the table. I've been eating too many bad things (like Christmas cookies) so I'm going to pass on the chocolates but thanks for offering.

Mora ~ Your loving wishes just came right out of the monitor this morning. They made me feel good. Balsam ~ I feel blessed to have friends here who feel like family to me. We had a nice quiet, Christmas and it felt good. I fixed the other turkey breast from Thanksgiving, along with some cornbread/sausage stuffing from same dinner, made some mashed potatoes, heated up some asparagus spears, had some cranberry sauce and rolls too along with a bottle of white Bordeaux wine. For gravy, I used a can of cream of mushroom soup with marsala added, put that over the stuffing and the turkey breast as they reheated in the oven. Yummy! Of course, we had cookies and candy too during the day. Eggnog with marsala in the morning when we started opening our gifts. ;-) The new year is almost here and I wish all of you here in Cottage Gardens a wonderful year filled with beautiful gardens, good health, happiness and prosperity in all that you do. Best wishes ~ FlowerLady

That is the most beautiful card. maybe it was the glass of wine I had after a hard day but I found it stunning. It looked like the garden of my dreams (except for the snow). I would love to have stone walls like some English secret garden (S. Garden one of my favorite books). Thanks for the peaceful interlude. Now back to work... Merry Christmas and PEACE to you and yours and everyone reading. Denise

It's your time of year and nothing wrong with including anyone and everyone with well wishing and treats! I don't think it's necessary to not wish someone a "Merry Christmas" even if they aren't really celebrating it. As dlm2000 said, they will probably understand and hear 'happy holidays' anyway and appreciate being included. So, I don't think I would make a big deal of it. You can always remember next year. Maybe when you see them again, you could ask if they had a nice holiday. I kind of use happy holidays a lot, to cover New Years, just because it's more general if I don't actually know someone's religious practices. Welcome to the club. You must have been reading for a while as you filled the bill with the chocolates. I'll take a couple to eat later on when I can.
