I find this whole p!ss!ng contest amusing. Frankly, I think any differences between the BS and the CC are negligible. Both are fantastic ranges. When I first started looking for ranges, I had one requirement. I wanted to be able to do wok cooking in addition to conventional cooking. So much so that I even contemplated installing a wok burner right next to a conventional range or cooktop. One by one, I started ruling out Wolf, Viking, Thermadore. Until I zeroed in on the 48" Capital Precision with four sealed burners and a hefty wok burner that can be used as a stock pot burner. Plus it came with a rotisserie! I thought it was perfect until I found the BS cult here. What? I can wok cook AND grill indoors? But I had to lose the rotisserie. Let's just say I happily drank the Kool-Aid. But then my kitchen plans stalled due to unforeseen circumstances. A year later, I started revisiting my kitchen reno. To my surprise, there was a new cult in town. And this time is was another product from Capital, the Culinarian, but it was still in pre-release. It was everything the BS could do and I get the rotisserie back! Then I had to stall my project again for another six months to find a new contractor. By the time I restarted my project, the CC was already in production. Without hesitation, I plunked down the cash and now it's in my garage waiting to be installed. In the end, I would have been thrilled with either a BS or a CC. I wouldn't rate one as better over the other. Features and aesthetics are all relative. The Culinarian was the best choice for me. And that's what's most important. I think they're both in a class of their own. They both represent great value in a cooking appliance, especially for a cooking enthusiast like me.

Hey Annie, Is the trip to CA still on? Gotta be, right? FWIW, I'm used to country driving/small city driving and I drove in Orange County with no trouble. (Preferred it to what I'm having to get used to in Baltimore!) Also, Laguna Beach and Crystal Cove are unbelievably gorgeous. You can escape to nature in half an hour/an hour while you're there. I'm having a good time reading this, although I am sorry for all of you going through hard times. I am still chuckling at the "how's your dad" comment. I;d have been snorting through the entire funeral. I am famous for getting incurable giggles and passing them along to others. Let's see. Random thoughts. I am working on my taxes. I just added up all my medical expenses for a year. Wowza, it's a lot -- and I am healthy! Biggest cost is Medicare Supplemental. I hope I get a big check from the gov't. If I don't soon stop spending the entire day sitting on the sofa, one day I will not be able to get up. Why is it so hard to exercise? My brain is rotting, too. My brother can be a jerk. I hate our Commissioner. I hate the people who live across the street from me. I have to call the police to complain about a car they parked in their front yard. Idiots. I better hurry up and finish Season Two of Breaking Bad so I can return the DVD to the library. I also need a good book to read. I better get to TJ Maxx and return some stuff soon. I wonder if I can squeak another week out of this haircut? I am hooked on playing Qwizshow on Facebook. My mother is 95. I think she is going to live forever. She can run circles around me. I need a new mattress badly. I dread shopping for one. I need some new bras, too. Everything in my life is sagging!! That's it for now.

Wow. Dancing with the STARS -- The word "STARS" leaves a whole lot of leeway for interpretation. It used to be that only folks who were in movies or on prime time dramatic television shows were referred to as STARS. A singer or a (gasp!) rodeo cowboy would never be referred to or thought of as a STAR. Personally, I still don't think of a rodeo cowboy, no matter how many events he has won, as a STAR. I don't think of an Olympic gymnast as a STAR -- I think of an Olympic gymnast as an athlete. Maybe we should all write in to ABC and suggest they change the name of the show to "Dancing with Folks who are Well Known Within Their Area of Expertise." For what it's worth, I thought Melissa was, if not THE best, one of the two best dancers tonight. And she only agreed to be on the show on Friday, and didn't get her first rehearsal until Saturday morning. With the exception of Holly Madison, who had FIVE DAYS to rehearse, everyone else had FOUR WEEKS to rehearse.
