I agree 100% with Luis. It would help to know where you live. The symptoms of the normal cold weather reaction and abnormal death by root rot are very similar, the droopy leaves. Root rot is almost always terminal (causes death). I also agree that the disturbed mulch next to the sick plant looks like it was caused by water standing which would surely kill most any rhododendron. There are three requirements for healthy rhododendrons, drainage, drainage, and drainage. Wet soil is the biggest no-no in raising rhododendrons. The plant will probably die if it is root rot. Before planting in the same area fix the drainage problem. Also, plant rhododendrons in raised beds and never deeper than they were originally. Here is a link that might be useful: How to grow rhododendrons and azaleas.

I believe I have had the same male for 4 years. He has blue farther down on his right side. I know there has been at least one female change. Something happened to the first one after the first nesting 2 years ago, But a new one showed up for the second nesting and has been here since. I would be careful where you put the feeder. I learned the hard way. I had suet on the deck for the Wood peckers, didnt think the Sharpie would come that close to the house.....WRONG. Luckly we have tons of wood peckers here, I woud have been devistated had it been a Blue.

Great job on those! I've finished one pair, and ripped out all of one sock on another pair. I had it past the gusset, and it was too tight. Make sure your needles are the right size! I do mine on circs. Both at the same time, but on seperate needles. One sock is right, the other had to be completely re-done. Not happy. Of course, it was the one that was farthest along. Also on the needles is a sweater that has been going for two years and is finally getting worked on again, cause I finally found the rest of the yarn in my stash. And the Akimbo shawl from Ravelry. I'm to the hard part now on that. I think I have managed 3 rows of the lace pattern. Tami

Clueless - You didn't listen to me when I told you to get the 8500 because of the better suspension but I am over that now. Hopefully you will be OK with the suspension you have. Despite what some ads will tell you it is not a good idea to stuff the washer full. Depending on the contents, about half to 3/4 full will allow room for the water to slosh and the clothes to snuggle with each other in a happy soup. The clothes also need room to move so the load can get fairly well balanced so the machine is stable when it ramps up to warp speed. Good luck with your new toy. I love my 8500. I think I love the dryer even more than the washer. I can dry all my clothes on Low heat and they are dry in about 10 minutes. Very cool.
