Webkinzs. My dd's friends all have them and she wants a couple for Christmas.

They like boys!! LOL Things like a gift basket of body wash, lotions and stuff are really good, I think. Gift cards for Target or a store like that would be fun, too.

I'd stay away from clothing--girls that age have their own agenda when it comes to clothes.

I agree with the Bath & Body works stuff or a gift card - I have 2 girls now aged 24 & 18 & 6 nieces - all who survived Junior High.

One year my Mom got her 16 grandchildren - age range 1-25, boys & girls, - a gift bag with a 12 pack of their favorite soda, a couple bags of microwave popcorn & a gift card to a movie rental store. What a cool grandama she is!

My daughter is in 7th grade, she loves Bath and Body Works, and Gift Cards, yes Itune cards, she's reader so she always loves Barnes and Nobels gift cards and usually that age likes giftcards to American Eagle. She's also into the whole Twilight thing.

How about movie gift card?

I have a seventh grade grandgaughter. Webkinz were the IN thing here LAST year. Now they aren't....

I agree with the gift card idea. Though I honestly dislike GIVING gift cards, it's what the young 'uns like to get. Not sure I would get the Bath and Body one, though...some girls like that stuff, others don't. My g'daughter would like one from Target, Aeropostale, Limited Too, Hollister, American Eagle.....or maybe just one that is good at any store in the mall.

I'm w/ redcurls--some girls like body-lotion stuff, other don't.

I'd try to find out about that specific 7th grader, if you possibly can.

Mine loved crafting stuff--an embossing tool, calligraphy kit, stuff like that.

You could always just get a mall gift card--then the recipient can get whatever she wants--cosmetics, shoes, clothes, books.... or go to the movies, the food court with her friends, etc. And you wouldn't have to worry about stores going out of business, certainly SOME of the stores in the mall will be open in January, right? LOL!

What about the Twilight series?

lucky for you I'm a 7th grade girl! I'd say gift cards or cash are good. it gives a bigger variety on what we can buy with it and has more excitement because we are in control. Also, things like bath and body works are great ideas. if you do stockings for Christmas small things like hand sanitizers are nice to receive. And I personally LOVE watching movies like the fault in our stars, paper towns, if I stay, etc. chick flicks are my favorite. Also for stockings you could buy chapsticks like EOS or Babylips.

I agree on ITune cards, bath and body stuff, nail polish in wild colors, purses and if are ears are pierced earrings too. Pandora bracelets.

And that girl in grade 7 would have graduated from high school by now. I wonder what her interests are now.

Ha ha! I usually check the dates but forgot to do that with this post. I too was wondering why Lauren (right?) was playing with those little dolls. :)
