Let's start a game of funny names. Lots of times if you say these names kinda fast they sound like something else. I'll start with a few.

Funny that "Dover" is the first name on your lists. A long time ago (48 years) ago I knew a man named Ben Dover.

HGTV used to be on from morning til we went to bed, if only for background noise. I'd hear something interesting coming from an HGTV show, it was really easy to turn on the TV in the room I was in or go running into the TV room to watch that particular part of an episode. The last couple years, HGTV is only on in the wee hours of the mornings on Saturday and Sunday while husby and I wake up over coffee. I will watch David Bromstead's show, Devine Design and Landscapers Challange because I can usually see where I could incorporate one of those hosts' ideas into my own home, even if my version doesn't cost nearly what theirs did, the idea is doable. But seeing this post, it reminded me of some posts I read the other night/wee hours of the morning. Seems IRS has caught up with Banyan Productions via Discovery Channel and the homeowners are getting big surprises in their mailboxes in the form of 1099's. From what I read, the homeowners themselves are writing about their experiences and about receiving the 1099's. Some of the homeowners were never informed....ouch! Wonder if HGTV homeowners are seeing the same in their mailboxes? On Designer's Challenge where the cost of a landscape re-design costs as much as my whole house did, I feel for those folks if they weren't notified in advance. I love that email... i have it saved in my "saved" mail folder. that email came with pictures..soo funny!!! so true if you have a dog and cat!!!! the first time i read it i was laughing so hard...it is great!!!!!! love the video alphaba...my dog and cat would never tolerate that, either way. although i wish they would, but they do get along very nicely most of the time. the cat tortures the dog alot which is hysterical. he is long gone and she is still wondering what the H**L just happened! they make us laugh every day...what a joy they are. thanks again for the video!

Oh holy crap, she's funny! Love that it made me laugh "out loud" without one profanity. I've never heard of her, but I will be looking her up for sure now. Also going to pass that link on. Anyone remember Sinbad? He was a big black guy who was absolutely hilarious and he never cursed or said foul things. I really liked him. Thanks Moni.

I don't have any names, but this thread really made me smile because my grandma used to cut articles out of the paper when they had funny names like this in them. She had a whole pile of them and kept them in a tin can (the kind cookies and candy sometimes comes in). We'd pull them out and read them every once in a while :-)

I found it so funny that my sister's married name was Sue Ballou. Here in Houston, one of our famous people, "known as "The First Lady of Texas", was an American philanthropist named Ima Hogg!
