I'm looking for a pattern for the paper angel .....

There is a video of a lady making this angel.

She uses a paper punch around the edge of the skirt and glues a small pearl white ornament on the top for a head.

Anyone know where to find it.

I made them last year and can't find my pattern

Bkay remove all the soil. I use a hose with a nozzle to blast away any remaining soil on the root ball when I need to result to this tactic. I'm nearly 100% certain it is a salt/mineral issue since you mentioned the terra cotta pots disintegrate which is what the salts will do. I had the same probleam with non plastic pots until I started to use glazed pots. Given Texas is primarily desert no doubt your water is quite alkaline due to limestone deposits or other similar minerals in the ground which your water percolates through. The easiest remedy is to repot your plants including this one and removing all soil from the root ball and pot into a good soil mix. Not sure what part of Texas your in but you might want to consider buying a rain bucket and using that water for your hostas. Or purchase a water filter which you can attach to your outside faucet to remove the salts. Heavy fertilization using a chemical fertilizer such as Miracle-Gro or Peters can also cause similar damage overtime as well. Easiest solution would be the filter which you can get at any big box store. Scott

Here are a couple more options: 1) Have you considered using harlequin fabric instead of paper? Check at your favorite fabric shop, or eBay. 2) Are you adept at a draw program? If so, you can create your own harlequin pattern in your chosen colors and print it!

This last post was it...thanks so much all of you.

Tami..the pattern is a 7 inch circle cut in half for the skirt. I remember using my hot gun to glue them together. Then glue the sleeves to the skirt. And glue the glass ball to the top of the cone. You have to smash the point of the cone down so you can glue the ball on top.

It really helps to watch the tutorial.

I have a lacy punch I used for the bottom.

The wings..ya just gotta 'wing' it.....lol

I just cut out a pattern for mine. I'm sure you can do it.

I made several last year and gave them all away. I hope I have some glass balls left over...I want to make them for the hidden give away ornaments.

and then there are these made from paper plates... very pretty.
someone posted them here last year, I don't remember who it was. But she made them and left them around town with a little poem to spread Christmas cheer!

Haha...that was me Kat and I used paper doilies with a card stock circle in the center. I have some more for this year to leave around.

the only thing I haven't done is pay the 9.99 they want to up load. I still can't print it.

Kat...that's what I did with them last year too...such fun...I can't wait to do it again this year.

I wish I could catch someone finding one...I'd like to see how they react to them. If they actually pick them up and keep them or put them back.

Years and years ago my MIL and I made hundreds of these out of old wall paper. I still hang then on my window garland. They made perfect secret santa gifts as my children grew up. Ours were much more simple/home spun with wood beads for the head, moss for the hair, not so many embellishments. It was a simpler time. It was fun to see the pattern taken up SEVERAL notches!!
