Well, it looks fantastic!!

My niece and her hubs rented a house on the beach on Balboa for two weeks when they got married in the summer of 2007. Their wedding day was smack in the middle of the time they had the house. They rented it so that folks coming in from out of state would have a place to stay, and it was a central gathering spot for many of the wedding activities. Anyway, they put up one of the wall sayings on a wall in that house, and it was so great. It was perfect for the occasion and they took it down (and kept it) when their rental period was over.

I would love to put up one of the wall sayings somewhere in our house -- just don't know where to put it, which would determine which saying to use...

I'd love to have one too. There is a store in town that has the quotes for $24.95 and single words for $7.98. Cheaper than Upper Case Living. They claim these are so much easier to put up than UCL too. BUT I don't see anything there I like well enough to put on my walls! LOL
I know there are stores that have these wall quotes, and someday perhaps I will get to one. DD#1 said she thought Lowes has them?

DD#2 and DSIL got one as a wedding gift a few weeks ago. Theirs is their last name in big letters and their first names in smaller letters....she doesn't want to put it on the wall but on something more permanent...any suggestions Maybee?

I like how it looks! A couple of years ago I got that same saying, embroidered, and put it in our bedroom. I love it.

You can put them on canvass like a picture and hang them that way or on tiles or glass...they will go on about anything. Our Hallmark store has some words and so does Target.

Lindsey..these would come off the wall, but I don't think you could save them.

Also anyone who has a Cricut die cutting machine can cut them out themselves....Wal-Mart has the vinyl and the adhesive

I have been looking at words for one of my walls for awhile now. Like Lindsey, I just don't know which wall or which room. I was thinking of putting something in the kitchen but am not sure yet. LOL I am still deciding whether to paint the door in my kitchen with blackboard paint so I can write words in chalk.

I also have the Always Kiss Me Goodnight above our bed, I love it and I ALWAYS get my "kiss goodnight" I didn't do the flowers, I just have the saying. I just bought a 6 inch tall by 28 inch long one of our last name to put on a very large living room antique mirror, and it looks wonderful!

I have a couple in our house. One in our living room and one looking into the kitchen. The worst part for me was standing on the ladder. I get cramps in my feet when I stand on one, for some reason. We have what is called knock down walls, meaning they have a lot of texture on them. So it was kind of hard to get it to stick at first. Once I got the hang of it, it was a piece of cake.

My cousin and I put one up on my Aunt Ruby's bedroom wall. She doesn't have a lot of texture on her walls, so it was really easy. However, using the card they include didn't work too well on either walls and we ended up using the end of a dinner knife.

I just ordered some for my girlfriend and her new MIL as wedding gifts.

You did a beautiful job. I have questions because I love wall sayings. First, do you have to put up one letter at a time or the whole word? Second, are they sticky backed--or how do you get them to stay up. Third, how hard are they to take down? And, can you reuse them someplace else?

I really love how that looks and the message.

I absolutely love those wall sayings....

They have had them in the country decor magazines for several years...My daughter has some in her kitchen and in her living room....I don't know where else.

I have a wall in the living room I have wanted to put them on...I thought I might freehand some...

And someone here posted a saying that I fell in love with and wanted for myself...but I'll be darned if I can rememer what it was or what I did with the print out I did of it.

I put a saying over our front doors about three or four years ago and have been wanting to put one in the dining area where there is a large arch. I just cannot make up my mind what I want.

Patti43...they are vinyl and have an adhesive on the back. They said the ones at Target can be taken down and reused but the ones from UCL probably couldn't be taken down and reused. I think it might peel off if I didn't want it there, though. I got a wrinkle in one of the curves on the y in always and took it off and the s on the end and worked with it until I got it right...that was the hardest part. You put the whole verse up in one or two steps. I used two colors so it was two steps. You can come up with your own verse, word or saying and choose your own font and colors if you want also. With the sayings they have in the book, you can choose from many colors...the one I used is sage and burgundy and it just matches my comforter. I have so many empty spaces in this house where a verse would be nice, but I think maybe a person could get too many of them.

That's very nice, I like how you used 2 different fonts, it makes it really pretty and interesting.

To help with placement worries, would it work if you photographed the saying, blew it up, cut it out and taped it in place before risking the actual vinyl one? Lots of extra work, but maybe it would take the anxiety away....?

A friend of mine had some great sayings on her kitchen soffits, they were so pretty and well done. She cut stencils out and painted them on, using about 3 colors to shade and highlight. She's very artistic.

I thought about doing something like that in my craft room, I have a slanty wall that starts slanting at about neck height, but I never could find a saying or expression that I thought I wouldn't get tired of.

UPC has some really neat ones for a craft room...I have bare kitchen soffits, but I've put up two of these things, and I think you can have too much of a good thing...

I know what you mean when you say they could be addicting! I can very easily see how you can get carried away with them.

I just spent a month covering up a kids bedroom that had writings all over the walls so I'm over that for awhile...PLEASE don't let me get hooked on this...it really looks nice and I can certainly see my addicting personality goin wild with it!

Liz..these will just peel off. They are stuck on tightly enough not to curl or come off accidentally, but you "can" get them off the wall when you want. I was concerned about "what if you wanted to paint the wall" at a later date. There are some that can be taken off and reapplied, but I think the UCL ones are maybe too thin to do that...they really adhere to the wall like paint. We have orange peel surfaces and it works fine with that.

I don't know if I'm as brave as you, Maybee, but you did a fantastic job. You are so creative!

I'm always rearranging furniture, so I'd need the easy to move kind of words.
