It's clean out the frig night so whatever we find in there that's still edible will be what we eat.

Hope something better is going on at your house!!

I cooked dinner just for me!

Whole Foods has the best sweet potatoes in, now.

So I baked me one, and got a big link of Whole Foods Italian sausage and cooked it stove top.

Good for me!

I ate it all!

I have been researching too many healthy recipes lately. I confused 2 (a taco soup and mexican meatloaf) and now I won't be able to do either-was thinking the meatloaf ingredients were the soup ones.

Oh well, something will call out to me!

My creamed spinach Creamed spinach 2 packages frozen spinach, (10 oz each) 6 ounces cream cheese, softened ^^I use fat free 1/2 cup butter, melted, divided 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs Dash of nutmeg: optional PREPARATION: Thaw spinach and press or squeeze to remove excess water. Grease a casserole dish and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine the spinach, cream cheese, and 1/4 cup of melted butter and nutmeg. Spoon into casserole dish. Toss remaining butter with breadcrumbs and add to top of casserole Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Serves 4

Lemon-pepper pork chops, green beans, rice with fresh garlic, steamed cauliflower. I did good if I say so myself! Marilyn Sue, I have to remember to get some sweet potatoes this week. Love them any way they're prepared!

Heart-shaped meatloaf --very cute, georgysmom! My dinner was just a tuna sandwich, because I had a late lunch of a Greek gyro in a pita w/tzaziki sauce, Greek salad (feta, lettuce, cukes and a delicious dressing), fries. If you watch "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," you might recall the restaurant: Metro 29 Diner in Arlington, Va. Deeeelish lunch! This is the place with the bakery in the basement and makes French toast with home-baked challah (bread). (Funny thing: There was a couple at one table who were talking about the show, and I'm pretty sure they were first-timers, and at another table was a family of 6, also first-timers because of the show!) If you ever come to the D.C. area, you've got to stop in there!

Thanks so much everyone! I am like most of you, and have always thought if someone asked my opinion that they were looking at other ideas/options, but would pick the one that suits them and their purposes best. I've never thought of asking for an opinion as being 'indebted' to use it. As you can probably tell, a certain family member, who will remain unnamed, gets quite put out if I ask for input and then do not use it. I do tend to see the world a little differently, so I wasn't sure if my understanding of getting an opinion was held by others, or if the certain family member's (Whom I love very much!) understanding was more widely accepted. I do not have any in-the-flesh quilters that I can bounce ideas off of, so I do ask those around me because I have several family members who are quite creative. I tend to over-coordinate my colors too much, so as I try to get better at using contrast colors in quilts, it has been helpful to get other points of view - mainly in regard to what fabrics from my stash to use.

Hey Chubby rat...what a coinkydink, I have Beef & sausage stew going also. I sure hope you like it. I have 5 hot dog rolls, so I'm going to butter them, sprinkle with garlic salt each half and bake them to use them as bread sticks.

We had our main meal at lunch today as hubby is with the band from 4-10pm.
Cool, rainy day and meatloaf was calling me. Lately I've been making my meatloaf with minced carrot, onion, celery and garlic and fresh breadcrumbs. Ketchup with a bit of brown sugar on the top. Hubs says this is his favourite.

Mashed potatoes (using Brigette) and steamed carrots.

Suppose to be french bread pizza. I don't feel like eating it, and I don't feel like making it! LOL We will see. I have a headache and I don't feel good and right now I have a peppermint patty in my mug! (hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps!)

I made a big pot of bean and ham soup on Friday, and it is so good...better with age.

Got up this morning, I was freezing......turns out the pilot light on the furnace blew out last Friday and we didn't know it! :0 It was 45 degrees in the house!!!! 18 degrees outside....

I made a BIG warm pot of cabbage, sausage & tomato stew....home made rolls with butter. YUM!
